    No, I haven't tried that. I was just looking through the VPNMON code and it looks like it does a VPN reset after the WAN comes back up. I probably didn't have VPNMON running this last time when the internet went down. I'll keep testing and see what happens with VPNMON running. Ranger802004...

    I'm trying to update amtm and it shows: I tried to ping diversion.ch from cli and it worked. I'm running an older version of the firmware, version 384.19. The router is remote and I'm planning on updating the firmware at some point in the near future, but not now. What to check? How to fix?

    So, I disconnected the ethernet cable at the cable modem. I have quite a few observations. Main observation is that the router does a bunch of things when you disconnect and then reconnect the internet connection.     Hasn't happened since I posted last. It's unpredictable. Maybe it was something on the ISP provider's side that they fixed. If it happens again, I'll post. In the meantime, I'll try unplugging the cable and post my observations.

    That's too bad about the variable. It's like any other system...there are so many moving parts! Good idea about getting the public IP through the icanhazip link. I just love that site name...a variation on the old I Can Haz Cheeseburger. :)
