    I have also found the 7260AC to be quite stable with AC87U. However that's one of the rare devices at my house capable of doing so.

    Now that you mentioned, I have exactly the same issue. RT-AC66U in AP mode, and the channel is stuck, even though I have tried to change it manually.

    Bridge Mode Multicast Apple Airplay

    It's more or less know issue that Asus routers Birdge mode is not working properly. It affects also DLNA and Spotify connect in my experience. I had to chane the router to another brand to get the wireless Bridge working.
