    Asus RT-AC66U or Netgear R6250

I got the Netgear router a few weeks ago, I can still return it. I found several Asus routers for sale on Kijiji for less than the Netgear, but I will not be able to return them. I have two wireless-AC machines, and soon might have a third. I see that Asus is still releasing new firmwares for a...

    USB 3.0 Wireless AC1200 adapter

It's for laptops with USB 3.0, that's why I'm looking for USB 3.0 WiFi adapter. I guess it will take a few more months for other solutions to appear (other than Realtek based).

    USB 3.0 Wireless AC1200 adapter

OK, I did some homework. I found 8 adapters on Newegg. The specs usually don't mention the chip they use, but I checked their drivers. They all use Realtek chips. They have Mac drivers, too!

    USB 3.0 Wireless AC1200 adapter

I'm looking to buy a USB 3.0 Wireless AC adapter. Does anyone know if any adapter on the market uses Broadcom chip? I may need to use it with PC or Mac, and since Apple uses Broadcom in the latest Macs, I figured it might work out of the box. Thanks for any input.

Oh no! Another advice request thread! :)

Amazon has the WD My Net AC1300 for $95. You'd be shocked how much faster it is than your current router.

    D-Link DIR-865L or refurbished Linksys EA6500?

Thanks for the input! None of the stores I went to had either router in stock. I wanted at least AC1600 router. The cheapest models they had in stock were the Linksys EA6400 and the Netgear R6250, both for $150. Based on the SNB review, I went with the Netgear. I may still order the refurbished...

    D-Link DIR-865L or refurbished Linksys EA6500?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy AC1750 router for around $100. My options are a new D-Link DIR-865L (now on clearance) or refurbished Linksys EA6500. Anything else is at least $150 here (Canada). The Linksys received much better professional reviews, but many users complain that it drops...

Intel Centrino N and Linksys Router Connection Speed Problem

I had a long time problem with the connection speed between my Intel Centrino 6300 (and before that with Centrino 5300) and Linksys routers. I have Linksys WRT310N and WRT400N routers. When I connect to either router using the 2.4Ghz band, I would get a maximum speed of 54mbps, even if my laptop...
