Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

Problem solved for anyone with same issue who may be looking: I found the problem. NVRAM dhcp_staticlist had all the bad IPs. Not sure how it got there. Fixed with: nvram set dhcp_staticlist="" fixed it

YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

    1) Yes, the IP addresses at issue are all 100% removed from Advanced Settings > LAN > DHCP Server > Manually Assigned IP addresses. I have tried putting them in there and the linked devices do not get assigned the IP. So I removed. 2) The devices now have different static IP addresses that...

YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

Thanks again. I posted the above as an edit after I initially posted, but here is the critical part: dhcp-host=10:DD:B1:D1:2C:2E,set:10:DD:B1:D1:2C:2E,192.168.1.19 dhcp-host=44:17:93:A3:FC:40,set:44:17:93:A3:FC:40,192.168.1.196 dhcp-host=A8:03:2A:BD:48:4C,set:A8:03:2A:BD:48:4C,192.168.1.193...

YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

Thanks. I found the three files. But I did not solve my issues. The three Yaz files look like they should based on my settings. But the dnsmasq.conf file itself has an old list of IP address assignments for former static IP clients no longer on my network. How can I clear these entries so I...

YazDHCP YazDHCP - feature expansion of DHCP assignments (increasing limit on the number of DHCP reservations)

I am having an issue with a series of old IP addresses that had been statically assigned (but now released) remaining reserved in DHCP. I found the entries that reserve the IPs in the dnsmasq.conf file, but i realize that editing the lines out of the dnsmasq.conf is not a good fix as they will...

Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

I dont know why, but these leases were reserved after reboot as well. Just those thee IP addresses. And to clarify, these IPs were never reserved - they were at one time static IPs used / specified by Shelly devices. And those Shellys now use a different IP.

Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

Bumping this. I realize the suggestion that came in was to create my own DHCP server which makes sense in long term, but for now I would like to free up those three ghosted IP addresses. the ASUS router thinks 192.168.1.192-4 are in use or "reserved" but I cannot find anything that would be...

Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

Just to add, I can look at DHCP leases in the ASUS GUI and these IPs are not listed.

Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

But how do I release what is already taken? Let's assume I start from scratch as you suggest, I still must clear the existing devices, including the phantom ones. Is there a way to look at my current assignment list, in total? I think I want to examine dnsmasq.conf, but I could be confused.

Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

Thanks. But how do I locate the cause of the IP's that system says are "in use"? 192.168.1.192, 192.168.1.193 and 192.168.1.194? Best I can tell, no device is using these IPs but the system, wont let me reassign. These IPs were used (by static IP devices) until about 2 weeks ago, when I...

    Basic question on usericon files

I am embarrassed to say I seem to have forgotten what once came easy to me, I have 140+ devices in jffs/usericon. My most recent devices all have user created entries from the ASUS/Merlin/YAZ software, while my older devices have symbolic links to save space. I want to create symbolic links...

Cannot bind IP - "This entry already exists."

I am using an ASUS GT-AX6000 with the latest Merlin firmware running. I have 131 manually assigned IPs, and many other static IPs on my network. I have three devices that are getting DHCP assignments from the DHCP server that I cannot customize. When I add the IPs to the list of manually...

dnsmasq: Maximum number of concurrent DNS queries reached (max: 150)

I had modified last week when using VPN, but I reset the WAN DNS settings to blank (to force router to use ISP). There are no third party DNS services in place (or at least there should not be any).

dnsmasq: Maximum number of concurrent DNS queries reached (max: 150)

Please clarify - what is "dnsmasq's upstream DNS server"? I am not sure what dnsmasq is or what device or software is using it. Just to add, I see the /etc/resolv.conf contains two entries: nameserver 167.206.13.180 nameserver 167.206.13.181 This makes sense for my ISP. Does the error...

dnsmasq: Maximum number of concurrent DNS queries reached (max: 150)

I just started to receive a few of these errors. I had a VPN running but turned it off because of DNS issues. WAN is set to use default ISP's DNS. As I said, VPN is off. DNS Director was inactivated. I am not sure why these messages would pop up. Here are the log entries for today: Jul 31...

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

Looks like it pops up once every few days. It's something I see in the logs but has no effect that anyone can see. Also seems to happen between 1 AM and 4 AM when it does happen. Not much internet usage then. But that could be random too.

Using Apple TV with NordVPN / Merlin

I had the VPN off for a few days and then turned it back on, directed only to a few devices. The WAN DNS setting was set to revert to ISP router. Once VPN was turned on, all devices not on VPN lost their DNS. Turning VPN off did not restore either. I finally fixed by rebooting router. Any...

VPN Director enable/disable rules from iPhone shortcut

Each Apple TV has apps that "need" the VPN for my use (MLB for example) and apps that I am afraid will reject it (YouTubeTV for example). I may want to watch a baseball game in one room, and then my wife may want to watch YouTubeTV on that same set 30 minutes later. MLB blacks out teams in...
