VPN Director enable/disable rules from iPhone shortcut

It is possible to create a shortcut for your iPhone to turn on and off the VPN by running scripts over ssh. But is there a way to change the VPN Director Rules file to enable or disable individual rules? I see the config file in /jffs/openvpn/vpndirector_rulelist, but I do not have the coding...

    Disable YazFi

I installed YazFi but am not using. How can I remove it? My log is cluttered with messages: Jul 23 10:10:00 YazFi: No YazFi guests are enabled in the configuration file!

Using Apple TV with NordVPN / Merlin

So two more question - easy and more difficult: 1) When you specify exclusive or strict, the DNS used will be the one on the WAN page if a device get the VPN, And when a device does not use the VPN, the system will bypass the entry on teh WAN page and use the ISP DNS. Is that correct? 2)...

Cannot get VPN to function properly from ASUS router to Apple TV

It worked well today. I think deleting MLB app and turning back on with location services disabled made a big difference

Cannot get VPN to function properly from ASUS router to Apple TV

I have NordVPN set-up on my GT-AX6000 router with VPNmgr and VPN Director. I have a single client (in my case set to a Denver IP address). I have VPN Director set to send the VPN address to 3 devices only - an Apple TV, a MacBook Air and a Samsung TV. The VPN seems to work flawlessly on the...

Using Apple TV with NordVPN / Merlin

So now that I believe I understand the concepts, I have set up VPN Director for each Apple TV based on an IP address. I can effectively turn the VPN on or off by changing the IP address to go to the VPN on or off setting on my router. But I have issues with the DNS. When the router is not in...

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

Since I did swap of Hitron units, no issues for 24 hours. I will let it go through the weekend before I consider it solved however as my problem was intermittent.

Using Apple TV with NordVPN / Merlin

I think I got it working. Loaded vpnmgr from JackYaz (needed Entware installed first). Now I can pick a city for my US-based IP address. Will see how I do with blackout restrictions tomorrow, but at least I can get my devices to operate with the VPN. Could not do it before.

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

I have confirmed EEE is disabled

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

Saw that, thanks, and actually corresponded with writer last night. Motorolas not available anywhere, but I have two different brands (ASUS and another) on order from Amazon.

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

I have Hiton Moca 2.5 devices. And no splitter. Coax has no other signal but my Moca devices

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

Its RG-6 and the run is less than 100 feet. Pretty much a straight line from second floor ceiling to basement and the from basement to first floor. All vertical - very little horizontal movement.

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

I swapped out the second set of MOCA connectors I have for the ones I had in place. I am going to wait 24-36 hours and then look at my logs to see if it made a difference. The blue light flickers the same way with the new MOCA adaptors and power supply as with the old, Not sure if that is...

Using Apple TV with NordVPN / Merlin

I tried this again today and I am not able to get the Apple TV (or any device, including laptop and iPhone) to access MLB.com properly when the VPN is active. Laptop does fine if I use NordVPN app to launch VPN, but when I launch the VPN through ASUS/Merlin/Director, things hang. I confirmed...

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

As I understand things, the MOCA bridge acts in lieu of a cat-5e wire connection. Therefore it connects from a LAN port on the router (in my case port 2) to the WAN port of the access point. The access point is connected to the main network via the WAN port, no? I googled it just now to...

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

What is the best way to determine EEE status? Ethtool was suggested but I have not figured out how to install it. And what else might you suggest I look at? The MOCA coax connection is a straight run from the router to the basement, a female-female F-type joiner, and a straight coax from...

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

I mistyped - eth2/br0 (port 2) on the router. The MOCA plus into port 2. eth0/br0 on the AP - MOCA connects to the WAN port and all other ports are empty.

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

I strongly suspect that my router has EEE on, as that is a known problem for my MOCA (and known to cause exactly this behavior). I am trying to figure out the easiest way to install ethtool as a means to see the state of EEE and hopefully disable.

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

Company got back to me but do not have an answer. From reading other internet threads, sounds like I might try disabling EEE, but I dont know how to do that with ASUS.

    kernel: br0 / eth2 messages

The adaptor has not been touched. It is at eth2/br2 (port 2) on the router and eth0/br0 on the Access Point. My two entries above were different - one from router and the other from AP. Here it is again: ROUTER: Jul 19 10:37:31 kernel: eth2 (Int switch port: 1) (Logical Port: 1) (phyId: 2)...
