    If I'm currently using the latest John's Fork f/w (based on 3.74).... Can I just updated to your latest f/w and factory default the settings or is there an official Asus f/w that I need to upgrade to first before installing yours?

    On my RT-AC68U, I currently have the latest Asus stock fw 378. When installing John's fork fw, is it recommended to do something prior (ie factory reset or downgrade to a different version of asus stock fw, etc)? I just want to make sure that I do this properly. Thanks.

    Can someone confirm if doing a Factory Reset (via Asus login gui page) is the same as a Hard Reset (holding reset button in back of router for 5 seconds)??? Do they both achieve the SAME result?

    You might have a bad router then. Exchange it for another one if you're within the return period or contact Asus to for an RMA.
