    802.11b/g problems with latest firmware?

As Grisu mentioned, try with airtime fairness and at least universal beamforming disabled for the 2.4Ghz band. Another idea: Do you have both of your Asus routers operate the same wifi network (Ai mesh or AP mode) and wifi roaming assistant enabled? In this case put affected devices onto the...

    ASUS RT-AC68U firmware release 3.0.0.4.384_81351

Got the update via the gui and updated 2 AC68U in mesh mode view hours ago. Router seems fine, but the node wasn't able to connect/sync. (no connection to internet) After factory reset of the node it was up and running again. After that I did a factory reset of the router as well just in case...

Upgrades break AiMesh RT-AC86U primary and two RT-AC1900P nodes

Hi, what is your wireless mode set to for both bands? In case it's on 'Auto' please try to set it to 'N only' (2.4 ghz) and 'N/AC mixed' (5 ghz). See if that helps. I think I saw nodes scanning when channels are fixed, but the wireless mode wasn't. BR

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81039

Just updated my two AC68U in AiMesh setup via the ASUS Router App. All went smooth, no hickups, no bugs yet seen (no failures reported in logs). I did not perform any manual reboot or factory reset, devices just came up again with previous configuration and continued operating normally. AiMesh...

Asus RT-AC1200G+ - Media Bridge mode speed capped at 173.3 Mbps.

Chanspec: 5GHz channel 116 20MHz (0xd074) Looks like the channel width is limited to 20 MHz, that will be the limit of throughput. Make sure your Router (AirTies) allows a wider channel width - auto (20/40/80 MHz), or forced to be 80 MHz. Maybe you need to force it on the bridge as client as...

RT-AC68R - Running AIMesh Reboot Nodes

The latest release versions of the ASUS Router app for Android/iOS finally support manual reboot of AiMesh nodes. BR

Reboot command to reboot Imesh Node

When wishes come true... today Asus released an update of the ASUS Router app (for Android), version 1.0.0.4.5 which allows to reboot the nodes explicitly. Select the node in device list - tab on the tripple dot menu on the upper right - "Reboot device". Beside SSH the automatic reboot...

brand-new RT-AC68U, 802.11n misbehaving. (last available FW on board)

I totally agree. That's why it felt like a disaster with the N6235 back in the past (was like 4 years ago), fiddling with those drivers and still having constant dropouts. Today it seems resolved for me, no idea how. I tested the adapter connected to 2.4GHz band in n-mode. Throughput bounces...

brand-new RT-AC68U, 802.11n misbehaving. (last available FW on board)

The N6235 is very popular indeed and there are tons of forum threads about wifi drops with 802.11n and any router. More in detail, the problem seems to appear in 2.4GHz mode, but not in 5GHz. That could explain why I don't experience the problem in my home environment - the laptops N6235 is...

brand-new RT-AC68U, 802.11n misbehaving. (last available FW on board)

Hi, Maybe wrong direction, but I remember having a similar issue with the Intel N6235 wifi - and its drivers years ago. (Wifi dropped after minutes) Your issue might be related to the specific wifi client/adapter, not to the RT-AC68U itself as other wifi clients seem to work fine. In my case...
