vnStat [Release] vnStat-on-Merlin - UI, CLI and email - data use and data limit monitoring - R1 and R2

Elsewhere in this thread, someone said that these needed to be disabled for vnStat to work and be correct, which is why I brought it up here. But this concept also applies to other apps like Cake.

vnStat [Release] vnStat-on-Merlin - UI, CLI and email - data use and data limit monitoring - R1 and R2

I did not. I did not know to do that. But I just did it based on your comment, and it did not make a difference. The GUI still shows both being Enabled.

vnStat [Release] vnStat-on-Merlin - UI, CLI and email - data use and data limit monitoring - R1 and R2

I ran runner disable from the CLI. The prompt came back with no errors. But If I go to the UI, I see that runner is still Enabled. I also ran fc disable. I got this message: Broadcom Packet Flow Cache learning via BLOG disabled. After refreshing the GUI, is said both were still enabled. So...

vnStat [Release] vnStat-on-Merlin - UI, CLI and email - data use and data limit monitoring - R1 and R2

In TOOLS > SYSINFO > NETWORK > HW ACCELERATION, both RUNNER and FLOW CACHE say they are Enabled. What are the CLI commands to disable them? Cake need both to be disabled?

vnStat [Release] vnStat-on-Merlin - UI, CLI and email - data use and data limit monitoring - R1 and R2

Sorry for a dumb question, but where do I disable NAT ACCELERATION and HARDWARE ACCELERATION? I cannot find those options in any of the menu screens.

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

OK. Used the install script from the Wiki and that got me back to 1.0.7 after a couple of reboots. Seems to work the same as 1.0.8.

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

I am running 1.0.8 with 384.19. Should I downgrade to 1.0.7? I seem to recall that when I updated to 1.0.8 that cake said the update was available, and I told it to do it. Even now, cake says I have the latest, presumably knowing I have 384.19.

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

Right, but there is the process of verifying the version that might need to be checked by a 384.19 user. And Dave mentions 1.0.x, implying there might be something later than 1.0.8 either available or in the works.

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

Should I try Cake 2.0 even though I'm on 384.19? Will I see a difference compared to 1.0.8?

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

Is it possible to rearrange and lock-in the order of the tabs on the AddOns page? This might solve 2 problems for me: 1. The order would be constant across multiple reboots. Currently it seems that the 1st script to get its brains during a boot gets the 1st slot, etc. I would prefer that...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

A simple reboot did not work. I had to uninstall connmon, then reboot, then finally Unbound showed up. Update: I had to reboot again, and sure enough, both connmom and unbound were again not in the AddOn tab. Based on what I did before, here is the sequence that gets both back in the AddOn...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

In Unbound, I cannot get the GUI option to work. In the menu, option 6 says Install GUI AddOn tab, but when I do that, it appears like it is installing, but then displays the menu again with the same option 6 to install the GUI and the AddOn tab does not have Unbound. What do I need to do get...

connmon connmon - Internet connection monitoring

Is there an easy way to restore the tabs in the AddOn tab in the GUI? When I do a reboot, I lose the Unbound and Connmon tabs, but the scMerlin, vnstat and ntpMerlin survive. Oops, 5 min later, and now the scMerlin tab is also gone.

    System temperature(s) available via SNMP?

How do you determine what eth interface you use for the 2 WiFi bands? I think mine might be different from yours.

    Failure to Initialize SSL

I think I figured it out. I added this line: local-data: "router.asus.com IN A 192.168.2.1" to the file /opt/var/lib/unbound/unbound_ext.conf Seems to work, but I'm not sure how sticky that will be when I do a reboot. Let me know if this is correct or if I need to change.

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

Sorry if this has been asked and answered previously, but when running Unbound and I do a DNS Leak Test, what is the correct response to show that I am not leaking DNS requests?

    Failure to Initialize SSL

I got the Pixelserve cert but it is issued to router.asus.com, not to the IP address of the router, which in my case is 192.168.2.1. How do I correlate those 2? I'm currently using Unbound as my DNS and it has no knowledge of router.asus.com.

    Failure to Initialize SSL

BTW, here is what's in my /jffs dir. Does this look right?

    Failure to Initialize SSL

I think I had a problem. There was a difference between what was displayed in Admin->System and WAN->DDNS. So I used amtm to have pixelserv update my cert. Now both of those locations are consistent. But I'm struggling with importing the new cert into Win10. When I untar the file using...
