    Toggle ECN capability option?

Is it possible for ECN router capability to have a toggle button? e.g. incoming and outgoing This would mainly be a gaming option to help with packet congestion

    Equipment needed for Fiber?

I considered the possibility of the connection to the server testing speed, pl, jitter, etc. Usually if my bandwidth decreases and I'm seeing packet loss and jitter to me it's been a reliable way to tell if there is a problem on the line, as of the past couple of weeks. Before I had the line...

    Equipment needed for Fiber?

How reliable is the 'Internet Speed' test with our Asus Routers? Would reliability differ from my AX86U to my AC86U? Frimware 386.5 vs a 386.2?

    Equipment needed for Fiber?

Maybe the squeaky wheel was right for 7-8 years and the ignorant techs were also lazy overpaid idiots.

    Equipment needed for Fiber?

Yeah the line was close to 10yrs old the tech estimated. I tagged the line with the replacement date by sticking a note onto the line. Yeah it's weird They've been out before and literally bypassed a new coaxial line replacement. Every. Time. It's been like this for 7-8yrs.

    Equipment needed for Fiber?

Thanks for the reply. UPDATE: Had the ISP provider come out and change the cable line drop to the house and the packet loss is now gone.

    Equipment needed for Fiber?

I've about had it with cable service in my area. Packet loss fluctuates up to 56%, up to 453ms packet jitter. Rain is always effecting service. I've looked up Fiber for my house and it's available. What do I need in terms of a router and modem for it? I have my AX86U, and my cable modem...

    Looking for PCIe Wifi card

Hi there, how's everyone doing? Good I hope I'm looking for a PCIe WiFi adapter card. I was browsing Amazon looking at adapter cards and seen Asus is making/branding PCIe WiFi cards and thought lets get an Asus card to pair up with my AX86U. I think a card that can handle 2000sq foot would...

Only one port will DSLReports speedtest

Ever have a failed Buffer bloat test from there? Doesn't matter what PC is used, only port #1 will finish the buffer bloat test, and it also doesn't matter what failed message pops up. I've tried everything it suggests to do

Only one port will DSLReports speedtest

On both my AC and AX 86U routers only Port #1 will do DSL Reports Bufferbloat test. Why is that?

    AX86u HW Runner

@Xrsenal You could try isolating your PS5 simply by removing all other devices. Some TV's do not completely power off and idle in standby mode er something and do a lot of call backs to home e.g. my newer Samsung continually stays active on the my home network unless I completely shut that...

    AX86u HW Runner

Game behavior on PC platforms vary due to hardware, game engine, OS tweaks, etc. I imagine with a PS5 you are stuck with a baseline behavior from the hardware and most behavior variations derive from the game engine and how it's implemented on a platform, in your case the PS5. The router is...

    AX86u HW Runner

It slows down the packet rate from the router to your PS5, thus a tiny fraction more processor time is allocated to the game while an alleviation of PS5 network processing is felt through the change. EDIT: if you have the ability to change the CPU Quantum aka Win32 Priority on your PS5 you'll...

    AX86u HW Runner

The packet rate might be slower thus slowing down NDIS interrupts. One tell tale sign is a more accurate mouse feel.. i'm assuming this is for PC? tl:dr There is a definite change when toggling the packet priorities when using Traditional QoS. The default is ACK, SYN, and ICMP. Checking all...

    Mac terminal/ssh into router

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a different port, where in the command would that be, the end, right? e.g. 192.168.0.1 p ort# ?

    Mac terminal/ssh into router

I thought I had saved a link with instructions on how to use Terminal with mac OS to add scripts to JFFS. I'm looking to install Skynet for a family members router and my only mobile device is a mac-book. I found Terminal with Mac.. some of the directions I've seen in links have been ssh *name...

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

What's the best "flow isolation" for gaming when only 1 device on the router is being used? Fairness doesn't seem to apply in a situation like this, or am I wrong? Would it be Flowblind, if so?
