    I tried this as well except i had mine in firewall-start as nat-start always lost it's contents on reboot...got sick of the whole thing and stumpedup for dedicated ip's to get around the issues, plus if i need to do filtering per device i can chose to do that now....as before i was getting...

    Thanks Merlin, won't be the best if using a smartdns service for streaming and they don't support DOT etc otherwise great to have that protection

    Is that set in the dns\wins server settings in dhcp or is that set in dhcp reservation?

    OK, update guys on my investigation. Merlin acts weird had entries vanishing and reapearing in my firewall-start script, tried firewall-start and a nat-start script - the firewall script keeps it's info on reboot, the nat script does not.... So, now not getting dns intercepted - turned off...

    That's weird never known an isp use something like that i am doing some tinkering with firewall and nat-start scripts with iptables it's all a good learning experience i'm just weary of trying too much and getting face-ached nagged at for it :D

    Keep getting dns detected as 84.200.69.80 and not as dns servers of the smartdns

    Thanks, i have the smartdns servers in wan dns entries set with not to connect automatically....just checked the smartdns don't support dot or doh

    Yes, traffic gets masked just like vpn, its my isp hijacking with their transparent dns even though i have the smart dns servers seton router nt completely sure how hulu detects it though as netflix,disney+ bbc work

    yes, exclusive - vpn works, but slow on hulu so thought i'd try a smart dns service really is the best method for getting max out of the internet connection for watching any geobocked service, so i really want to try and get it working

    they are intercepting dns quieries and forcing their own dns server, so traffic then gets detected by hulu to then not work

    It's unblocked-us (smartdns) trying to get hulu to work, i've used vpn etc but instable and sluggish

    Thanks for the help, its more a test as i have in use a smartdns service for streaming, but it doesnt work fully due to my isp hijacking the dns...
