    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Hey, do that for the DNSFilters too if a user deletes out the standard ones, and saves value 3, for example, as an empty variable. :-) We chatted about that once before.

    Asuswrt-Merlin - Project update

Absolutely understand. Just trying to rattle off a thing or new that the older kernels have been holding us back on (well you, since we are just customers). Glad to see you sticking with it through this transition.

    Asuswrt-Merlin - Project update

Does this mean you can do other trickery like introducing "Cake" intercepting QoS? Similar to what you did with fq_codel?

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.35SF

I am testing build 36, and have to say so far so good. Painless flash, factory reset, and nice to see QoS actually working on the downstream.

How Not To Fix a Hot-running ASUS router

checking the temp is not a proof/validation that your unit is throttling or having an issue at all. That's just a comfort level for you. You would need to check CPU speed or even your bogomips value. EDIT: and @thelonelycoder coder may vary well be correct that there are no thermal controls...

How Not To Fix a Hot-running ASUS router

Overheat would mean its thermally throttling or shutting off. Has it done either of those? Or do you just not feel comfortable with the temps? We could try the ice cube trick first? what do you think? EDIT: or better...

How Not To Fix a Hot-running ASUS router

Well to start with, you really are not giving enough info. A thread titled "Asus", and quick one line comments of "It overheats" is not enough for us to, at least in any serious manner, help you. There are many factors that play into heat, ambient, load, chipset etc... If you search these...

How Not To Fix a Hot-running ASUS router

That is the best cooling solution in my opinion. Remove the heat-sinks and leave the router unplugged.
