Make the ASUS Router GUI faster ...

Thanks for your feedback. @AndreiV ... You can download PageSpeed from the Chrome Web Store as an add-on to Chrome. And try it! :) --> https://goo.gl/862NpF I did these performance optimizations on an OpenWRT router myself. Initially only out of interest and boredom. But the result is very...

Make the ASUS Router GUI faster ...

In my opinion, the general performance of the GUI leaves a lot to be desired. To check this yourself you can use Google's PageSpeed Insights for Chrome. For example, I currently receive a score of only 29/100 (PageSpeed results with RT88U at 384.4). This leaves room for improvement. Most things...

Excuse me, a noob question: would such an install script also be possible for OpenWrt to use the pixelserv certificate? :)

    Modem hostname

So, I created the hosts.add under /jffs/configs/. The line is also successfully inserted in etc/hosts (after reboot). Unfortunately, the modem cannot be accessed via "http://mymodem.athome".

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Quick question. Can debug mode be permanently disabled?

    Modem hostname

Well, I want to be able to access the modem from any device (Mac, PC, iPad) via http://mymodem.athome.

    Modem hostname

Yeah, that's what I meant. You are talking about the host file on the Asus Router? Because, all connected clients should be able to call the modem via, for example, "mymodem.athome". Would this configuration be correct? 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost 192.168.0.1 mymodem.athome...

    Modem hostname

@dvohwinkel ... Thank you for your Reply. I do not want to use DDNS. I just want access to the modem via hostname. @ColinTaylor ... The modem is connected in bridge mode and via WAN of the AC88U, no private address. The AC88U establishes the connection via PPPOE. Modem (LAN) --> AC88U (WAN)...

    Access modem configuration page

Is there any way you can help me? Unfortunately, my modem specifies this unchangeable IP 169.254.2.1, but it is possible to access the modem Web UI via LAN. Router: LAN IP Address 192.168.1.1 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 WAN IP to Automatic or WAN IP to Static IP Address 169.254.2.2 Subnet Mask...
