    So, I created the hosts.add under /jffs/configs/. The line is also successfully inserted in etc/hosts (after reboot). Unfortunately, the modem cannot be accessed via "http://mymodem.athome". :confused:

    @dvohwinkel ... Thank you for your Reply. I do not want to use DDNS. I just want access to the modem via hostname. @ColinTaylor ... The modem is connected in bridge mode and via WAN of the AC88U, no private address. The AC88U establishes the connection via PPPOE. Modem (LAN) --> AC88U (WAN)...
