Re : An Appeal From Tim Higgins

This works great if you are not using a router ad blocker. The way I got mine to honor your request of allowing your ads as well as tracking is to do as you state above and also temporarily change the DNS address on this one computer to say something like 8.8.8.8 instead of the router's...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Thank you for your help. I whitelisted the domain above and now foxnews is working again. Now I need to try a bit of debugging myself to address another similar issue. breitbart.com videos fail except for the ones coming from foxnews! :-)

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

I have been using AB-Solution on a RT-AC66U for a while now and like it a lot. I recently upgraded my router to a RT-AC86U and installed AB-Solution again with success. I also added a few more scripts like amtm, DNSCrypt, and SkyNet with success. I also added pixelserv-tls and Entware with no...

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

I don't know if this this is the correct place for this question but here goes: Recently, after purchasing an eero system, I put my Asus RT-AC66U back as my main router because I really missed the AB3 ad blocker and put the eeros in bridge mode. This turned out to work very well with the eeros...

RT-AC86U out of stock - next best choice?

I ordered mine from NewEgg.com and it should be here tomorrow. They were charging $209 instead of $199.

RT-AC86U out of stock - next best choice?

I got a tracking number so I should have it by Tuesday. :)

RT-AC86U out of stock - next best choice?

I had to pull the plug and give in to greed. NewEgg has them back in stock but they raised the price by $10.00 dollars just because they can. I have spent $10 before and got less so what can I say. Hopefully they honor their statement that they have them in-stock and will send then out as...

RT-AC86U out of stock - next best choice?

I'm still patiently waiting for the RT-AC86U to come back in stock. I have found a couple of sites that have it and are taking advantage of supply and demand by jacking up the price for unwarranted profit. I refuse to give them the extra money that they don't deserve.

RT-AC86U out of stock - next best choice?

I wonder why they are out of stock? Did Asus lower production or have an issue with that model? I also checked the big stores and nobody has them in stock except for a few that raised the price to gouge you.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

I am not to familiar with how everything works together but here is my question in hopefully not too long of a statement. I bought an eero system last year to replace my Asus RT-AC66U. I found much better wireless coverage with 3 eeros than with one wireless router but I really missed the...

    Firmware upgrade 376.47 to?

Either use John's tool or re-enter your stuff manually. Do not restore from backup.

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

OK, The DHCP log entries do go to the AB log file as expected and not to the system log if AB logging is enabled. As mentioned earlier, it is probably more interesting to see the AB log info than to see the DHCP server bump the IPs every 12 hours. :)

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

    I'm using John's fork v20e9.

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

OK, thanks for the info. I'll just turn AB logging off since I know it is working. I would rather see if problems occur with my devices obtaining IP's on my network.

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

I turned AB logging back on and turned off the wireless on my cell phone. Then I re-enable the WiFi on my cell phone and reconnected but no dhcp entry was logged in the system log. I do have: Log DHCP queries under the administration tab set to ON.

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

Yes these are manually entered reserved IPs but I think the regular DHCP items also log to the system log, just not when I have AB logging enabled. Like I said, I'll try it again...

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

    I normally see this kind of stuff in my system log: Jan 3 10:57:41 dnsmasq-dhcp[5952]: DHCPREQUEST(br0) 192.168.2.68 a4:70:d6:xx:xx:xx Jan 3 10:57:41 dnsmasq-dhcp[5952]: DHCPACK(br0) 192.168.2.68 a4:70:d6:xx:xx:xx DavesCellPhone Jan 3 10:58:01 dnsmasq-dhcp[5952]: DHCPREQUEST(br0)...

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

Question: If I have logging enabled on AB-Solution I don't see the usual devices renewing their IP's in the router system log file. Is there something in the configuration I can change to allow me to keep logging enable on AB-Solution but still see the usual router stuff in my system log?

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

Just an FYI for the lonelycoder: I bought an Eero system and it is working very well in my 2 story house. BUT, I missed your ad blocker so much I am running it in a double nat configuration behind my Asus-rt66ac just so I could use your script. The only thing I use the Asus router for currently...
