Awesome, thank you! I'll try this as soon as I get home.

    RT-86U slow DHCP resolution? *RESOLVED*

Well, my reading comprehension requires me to understand the content, which I don't. The instructions the GitHub give me an idea of how it works, but not how to actually do it as I'm lost without screenshots. Anyway, thank you for your time and help, but I'll just have to wait it out for it to...

    Issue with Pulse Secure VPN

I'd like to try this as well. Can someone give me a little help on how to do this? I'm on the router with SSH and the JFFS partition is enabled. Not sure how do make/get the new .conf file on there. Thank you all!

    RT-86U slow DHCP resolution? *RESOLVED*

Thanks. That can't be it; I've always had that disabled on all my computers. Super annoying, as even an older (but freshly formatted and SSD) Dell Optiplex 780 is able to boot, auto-login and sit at the desktop and still not have an IP address in time. Is there a command I can put into the...

    RT-86U slow DHCP resolution? *RESOLVED*

Thanks for the info! I'm not really sure how to try this, as it looks a bit over my head. Hopefully this fix goes into a future version that will be a bit easier to use for us non-advanced users.

    RT-86U slow DHCP resolution? *RESOLVED*

Had this device for a few months. Had stock firmware and now on Merlin 384.4, but the behaviour is all the same. I'm getting slow DHCP resolution on several Windows computers, slow enough that I can log in and get to the desktop and they still won't have a network connection. These are all...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 Beta is now available

New AC86U owner here, using this firmware. I have all wireless disabled (using Ubiquiti because reasons), but everything is working well! Thanks, Merlin!

    ASUS RT-AX88U

This actually looks very good. Back to 8 LAN ports, although I prefer the vertical nature of the 86U and having the USB 3.0 in the back instead of the front, which this looks like it will have. Wonder how expensive this is going to be.

    [Official] RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9177

This firmware is absolutely incredible. Feels like I just bought a new device. Can't wait for Merlin to slap these changes into his firmware to make it even better.

    [Beta] RT-AC87U 9.0.0.4.378.9110

I'm only speaking for myself but my 87U was superior to my 68U in every capacity. These upcoming 5G fixes/improvements can only help. And yes, I do have multiple Apple 5G devices and have zero problems with them. I'm glad Asus is continuously trying to help, at least.

Enabling Hardware Flow Acceleration (Level 2) in AC87U

You can't enable it if you're using any form of PPPoE, which fiber connections tend to be. That's how it is for me.

Use WAN port as 5th LAN port on RT-AC3200?

3 AC3200s? Would be cheaper to hire someone to come to your house and run Ethernet to wherever you need it!

Ooma Telo VoIP service and Asus NAT acceleration - blinking red light fix

The nvram set nf_sip=0 command didn't work for the Ooma. Bummer.

Ooma Telo VoIP service and Asus NAT acceleration - blinking red light fix

Haven't been home to try it yet. Will report back. On the other hand, disabling NAT acceleration has actually made everything else more reliable for me. Before, goofy stuff like PSN, Netflix (Sony TV app) took a long time to get going. Now, instant... At my ISP's 50/50 FTTH plan, I suppose I...

Ooma Telo VoIP service and Asus NAT acceleration - blinking red light fix

Found this for an Asus model on some other site, and also on this site quoted by Merlin. nvram set nf_sip=0 nvram commit reboot

Ooma Telo VoIP service and Asus NAT acceleration - blinking red light fix

Asus RT-AC87U, although I'm sure the problem could extend to other models since it's likely a Broadcom thing.

Ooma Telo VoIP service and Asus NAT acceleration - blinking red light fix

Just making this thread in case someone runs into this in the future: Recent builds of the Ooma firmware have issues with the NAT acceleration in Asus routers. You'll just get the blinking red logo forever, even though the device will be on the Internet just fine. Long story short - tons of...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

Just thought I'd chime in again, Merlin. 378.52 has been great, and the dual DNS servers from DHCP is a GODSEND. This is a feature I've wanted forever on every router. Being able to add Google DNS as a secondary to the ISP's is total win/win. Absolute game-changer for those with crappy DNS...
