[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

@RMerlin After a factory reset and manual configuration of an RT-AC1900 (no other custom script running), I can confirm that multiple VPN Clients do not get started in sequence when using 380.66_2 on RT-AC68P or RT-AC1900; clients are started almost simultaneously instead. Now, even though...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

Excellent... with beta5-gfccc157: - There are not routing conflicts when initiating two (2) VPN clients with WAN (as with previous beta versions). - There are not DNS's leaks on either tunnel. - LAN resources can be accessed by devices routed through VPN with strict policy rules. - Importing an...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

RMerlin, No dice with Beta 4. Is there a command line that can be used to turn ON / OFF a particular VPN Client?

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

One more thing, a little cosmetic housekeeping, the progress count when turning OFF the VPN client for the first time goes over 100% If you don't move away from the page and turn the VPN client ON and OFF again, the count is correct stopping at 100%

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

@RMerlin, Further testing on Beta 3: In an effort to duplicate this issue, loaded up the 56U router with the same VPN configurations as the 68P, and the result was that no routing conflicts were reported; even with start scripts enabled (syslog below). May 5 09:45:54 openvpn[1222]: TUN/TAP...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

Yes my configuration has one and only one tunnel policy rule per device in the LAN. So here is my report on Beta 3 configured with two VPN clients on the AC68P using Policy Rules: 1. When both VPN connection are set to start with WAN, one of them is reported on the UI disconnected / routing...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

I did experience problems when using strict policy as well. So, my work around was to use relaxed policy and DNS Filtering; otherwise, if the VPN was dropped for any reason, it wasn't reestablished automatically because openvpn couldn't resolve the IP address of the VPN server. I will test Beta...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

I was combining routing policy with DNS filtering to avoid DNS leaks on two VPN connections. Should I stop this practice under Beta 3? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk

@RMerlin Running 380.66_beta 1 for about five days now, with two openvpn clients (1 & 3) each with separate policy rules for different LAN devices, and your implementation is working flawless thus far. The same configuration under 380.65-4 created routing conflicts for one of the openvpn...

    Solutions for VPN-hostile streaming services?

With Routing Policy Rules enabled, all traffic goes to the WAN by default; so yes, rules are needed for those devices you want through the VPN. The CIDR notation works fine, only you have to make sure the IPs are properly assigned to the desired devices by the DHCP server.

    VPN on Separate Wifi Network?

You could use 'Redirect Internet Traffic' -> 'Policy Rules' in the VPN Client config page, instead of 'All Traffic'. Then add the IPs of the devices you want to be routed out the VPN; devices (IPs) not on the list should be routed out the WAN interface. You may also want to assign manually IPs...
