    Skynet Double NAT problem

Half of Skynet's functionality relies on knowing inbound IP addresses. If you're double-NAT then everything is coming to the Asus from your ISP modem's IP. You don't want the ISP device doing anything except passing a signal to the Asus.

Negative on any of my routers, thanks for pointing it out. :)

    Skynet No Web access

If you uninstall it Skynet, does the GUI work again? Where did you install Skynet? Thumbdrive or external SSD? What size swap file? What was the configuration state of the router before installing Skynet?

Skynet Skynet and Network Speed Test slow-downs ..

More interesting would be to run your experiment again on a hard-wired client device. I'm concerned the built-in speed test is too distracting to people at this point.

Skynet Skynet and Network Speed Test slow-downs ..

TrendMicro is sort of like an antivirus for your network. Have you ever had a computer not run slower with an AV client running? Those of us with moderate internet speeds aren't going to see an impact, but if you have wicked fast speeds then apparently you might.

Advice on External Storage for running Entware/Swap File

After going through several USB sticks I'm now happily running everything off of a 128GB Kingston SSD.

    The Uptime Contest

I have my reboot scheduler set to Mondays at 2AM. Regular reboots will eject any memory-resident router malware (think: VPNFilter) as long as it hasn't installed a follow-on stage. Security >>>>>>>>>>>>>> uptime

Skynet Skynet and Network Speed Test slow-downs ..

But you guys aren't reading and writing all your traffic through USB; Skynet is resident in memory and just stored on the external drive. With as little as the swap file gets used already, I'm not clear what about the USB speed you think is a bottleneck.

Skynet Skynet and Network Speed Test slow-downs ..

Sure, the previously-banned IPs will stay in the Skynet blacklist. That'll have diminishing benefits though, since bad guys tend to move around. I will say I don't think just turning off TrendMicro services after turning them on does anything unless you do the TM Opt-Out. Personally I stick...
