    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Could someone let me know if this is supported on the AX86U? The old versions had model requirements, looking for this functionality but don't want to break something inadvertently :)

In some dire need of assistance (AX86U)

Hi All, So far after 386.4 update, no issues. Perhaps the change to DHCP solved it? - CHANGED: Switched to Asus's own dhcp hostname support. Existing dhcp_hostnames entries will be converted on first boot. Will post if there is any change or it breaks again.

Solved 386.4 - Need some help with Broken OVPN to Pihole

Sorry for double post. I feel better now. If I reboot the pihole and try it again it breaks with the default config. Then works again when I listen past 1 hop. Thanks for the fast response and quick fix. Hopefully this thread helps someone in the future.

Solved 386.4 - Need some help with Broken OVPN to Pihole

@eibgrad Hey, thanks for the response. Yes i can ping the pihole IP. I can get to the GUI via IP:port I also can verify that in the OVPN logs on the client it shows that the DNS server was pushed with the correct IP. I tested what you found on the DD-WRT forum and had interesting results. I am...

Solved 386.4 - Need some help with Broken OVPN to Pihole

Hi all, Looking for some suggestions and ideas on what I may be missing on this configuration. I believe everything was fully functional on prior firmware, however have not tested the functionality in a bit. Environment: AX86U - DHCP Server provides internal IP of PiHole for DNS WAN DNS...

In some dire need of assistance (AX86U)

Hey there, I wouldn't say it's "FIXED" per se, but the frequency of the issues has drastically reduced. Generally all the mini's will drop off the network once a month, need a reset and be good to go for another month. DNS over TLS hasn't resolved it permanently for me as it has for @SenorClean...

In some dire need of assistance (AX86U)

Great suggestions and thoughts; I'd like to pass one piece back to you though that may have been missed from the beginning. (before I do them) If I put the AC66U (non b1) back into place. Everything works fine. Makes me think that the switch, the pihole, the everything else is fine; and...

In some dire need of assistance (AX86U)

I don't feel like it's very customized... Wired house - to a patch panel - goes into an unmanaged D-Link 24port switch ... Router plugged into that... along with a NAS that has a pihole docker container for DNS. Removed the pihole completely for testing - no change... So to me, its a bunch of...

Beta 5 - even worse - disconnects every few hours again.

In some dire need of assistance (AX86U)

My devices were running over 7 days with no issues - then all of a sudden all lost connectivity around the same time. Router doesn't report any issue other than the DHCP offer's again. It's been stable for 16 days on Merlin Beta 4. Sigh

So far I have been on the latest beta and have not (yet) had any disconnects, will report back if anything changes of course. I did notice initially on Beta4 they had problems, I power cycled all the minis and then they were fine since... On about 5 days or so now.

Ask be to escalated to the dev teams. They know about the issues - changing bandwidth and control channel settings really shouldn't have much of an impact in most environments and this type of tech. (if you're super saturated, possibly - from what I've seen it's minimal)

Applied beta4 last night, it seems all the devices in my environment (google homes) are pretty unhappy and disconnecting frequently.

In some dire need of assistance (AX86U)

Hey there, interesting find; I have not yet tried that firmware and running Merlin Beta 3 - which I believe came out prior to 41535, I think Beta 3 comes from 41157 - could be wrong. I do still have the issue on Beta 3 however (although I've noticed it's lessened? Idk). Please report back with...

@Chuckles67 Thanks for the reply, we did keep the same SSID's, as it's been a pretty norm practice from what I know; that being said though, please let us know if you have the same issue after changing SSID's. It's definitely an undertaking depending on environment! Thanks!

Thanks so much for clarifying this for me; provides more ammo to ASUS to get them to look at it..
