R7800 and issues with iOS/Apple devices on 5GHz

Just bought this router and am disappointed with all of these "issues" it has right out of the box. These devices the router has issues with are all very common devices. Did Netgear do ANY testing of this router with any iOS devices and video game consoles before putting it out on store...

    RT-AC88U

So one of the bullet points on Asus product page for this is: Multiple capacity Wi-Fi with revolutionary MU-MIMO technology SNB's review says this though: " MU-MIMO not supported " So does the AC88U support MU-MIMO or not? If so, is it present and enabled in the current F/W? If not, is it...

Need something to replace D-Link DIR-868L for 3-story home.

Others are recommending staying away from anything newer than the R7000 for Netgear and RT-AC68U for Asus. I went ahead though and purchased two used Ubiquiti Unifi AP Pro. units and have been using the DIR-868L with them. Works well so far.

Need something to replace D-Link DIR-868L for 3-story home.

So I could easily configure the router and routers configured as APs to all have the same SSID?

Need something to replace D-Link DIR-868L for 3-story home.

One reason I've hesitated going with router + APs in this home is that there will be multiple SSIDs which would confused some of the people living here.

Need something to replace D-Link DIR-868L for 3-story home.

We moved into a new 3-story home and need something more powerful than our D-Link DIR-868L. I'm looking at either a Netgear R8000 or Netgear R7500. Reason I have to choose b/w these two models is that I have a gift card for the store that carries these units. This store also carries the...

    Netgear R7000 Gaming Router?

It has launched already. My local Fry's Electronics has pallets of them on the floor. I won't be able to go back to the store until Tuesday next week though.

    Netgear R7000 Gaming Router?

Anyone try the Netgear R7000 gaming router yet? Saw it at Fry's Electronics yesterday for around $220. It looks alot like the RT-AC66U by ASUS.

    EdgeRouter POE Configuration.

Thanks for the input zentec. I'm not an average Joe home user. I do work in the IT field, but haven't done much when it comes to networking. I would have an EdgeRouter POE already, but as I understand (and have read elsewhere) Ubiquiti does periodically release updated hardware revisions of...

    EdgeRouter POE Configuration.

The new home is a single-story / level home so it's spread out over half an acre. I also has some concrete walls and the signal from the D-Link isn't great through them. I have a friend that can get me UniFi AP Pro. units at a really good price so I'm going to take advantage of that. The...

    EdgeRouter POE Configuration.

I've attached an image showing how my network is laid out. Will the SOHO/basic config. floating around these forums work with my setup?

    EdgeRouter POE Configuration.

I've seen posts on various forums that almost all options home users would need to configure can be done through the UI and don't require inputting them through a command line interface. Doesn't really matter now though, turns out these D-Link routers I have (DIR-868L) are pretty good...

    EdgeRouter POE Configuration.

I'm looking at using a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter POE in a new home. The EdgeRouter POE will have these connected to its ports: 0) Cox Cable Modem 1) Netgear GS105E 5-port Gigabit Switch 2) Netgear GS108E 8-port Gigabit Switch 3) AP #1 4) AP #2 I have all this hardware laying around already. All I...

D-Link Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router Reviewed

Just read SNB's review of the D-Link DIR-850L or is it for the DIR-860L? Not sure which one is actually being reviewed here. In the overview, you say you reviewed the DIR-850L back in may and in that in this review you're going to review the DIR-850L. Then further on in the "Inside"...

D-Link DIR-868L Wireless AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router Reviewed

Just wanted to post an update. D-Link has released firmware v1.02 for the 868L which adds bridge-mode. http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/9417/rke2.jpg

Anyone have any experience with Engenius routers?

    Engenius Routers?

Are Engenius routers any good? I'm looking for a new router for home use. This router will go in the networking closet and will have a few access points connected to it along with some network switches. I currently have an older N600 router in this house and am interested in either the...

Networking a new home. Hardware Recommendations?

Ah ok. My DIR-868L will have its default 192.168.0.1. Right now in its settings, it says: DHCP IP Address Range: 100 to 199 So then DIR-860L #1 will be 192.168.0.2 and #2 will be 192.168.0.3. Would the ethernet cables coming from the DIR-868L be connected to each 860L's WAN port or to one...

Networking a new home. Hardware Recommendations?

Thanks again Tim! So, if the main router (the DIR-868L) is 192.168.1.1, I would configure the first 860L as 192.168.2.1 and the second one 192.168.2.2? Also, would I connect the cables coming from the 868L to each of the 860Ls' WAN ports or to one of the four LAN ports on each the 860Ls?
