ZenWifi AX No 160mhz for backhaul

It occurs to me that changing the region on the AiMesh master might interfere with the nodes since I think the region setting is local to each router. So, since a node starts from a factory reset, it could be a problem if the region is also reset when that's done.

ZenWifi AX No 160mhz for backhaul

Have you checked System Log -> Wireless Log to see if the driver is seeing 8 contiguous channels available for 5GHz-2. What you see there is dependent on the region the router is set to and ASUS seem to have consolidated the available regions ending up with some regions that should be able to...

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - NAT Issue With Two Xbox One Consoles

I'm familiar with port forwarding but haven't really constructed any rule sets for probably about 15 years. And, TBH, never really became intimately familiar with the rule options.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - NAT Issue With Two Xbox One Consoles

Was that addressed to me? Anyway, no I don't, we don't have two XBox consoles in the house. So I can't test anything related to that. I am however interested in the topic and that's why I'm here on the thread. There are several computers littered around the house which are used for various games.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - NAT Issue With Two Xbox One Consoles

Those threads are very long, I read some of it and perhaps I'll got back to it when I get time. What is curious is that I checked the ipfilter rules after adding a profile and can't see any rules relating to it. I guess there must be a user space service running for the Open NAT GT router...

Asus ZenWifi 6 (AX) Router Security Question

Early on AiMesh needed WPS to be enabled, I don't know if that's still the case. So, if you want to use AiMesh you may need to turn it on when your adding routers to the Mesh, I'm pretty sure it can be turned off once that's been done.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - NAT Issue With Two Xbox One Consoles

Have you checked the Open NAT tab on the router (left side)? Has anyone tried using this option, does it work as advertised? Manual port forwarding should be able to be used for this but it's a pain to setup and manage and if you have multiple devices that need this for the same game then you...

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - Packet Loss (Xbox)

And I was talking about the cables plugged into the router itself (including the cable to the modem), that's what I had trouble with, the router switch seems very fussy, but you are wise to check all the cable connections.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - Packet Loss (Xbox)

Right, and I'm using primarily cat 5e cables. Nevertheless, when I had problems with the router switch I swapped out what appeared to be perfectly good cables and manged to get rid of the messages in the log and the router was much more stable. Your situation sounds a bit different though...

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - Packet Loss (Xbox)

My son had similar problems with his XBox One S, I'm assuming the symptoms were the same although I didn't check for packet loss and this was over wireless. I put in a power line adapter connected directly to the router and that resolved his problems. I also thought the problem could be due to...

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

Umm ... actually between your router and the VPN server your using on the internet. So, unless your using the VPN to communicate with a VPN server on a private network where there are devices you want to communicate with (like your workplace), all you get out of the VPN is anonymity of location...

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

Umm ... I'm a little confused about what you are trying to achieve. Why do you think you need to secure WiFi communications between your wireless clients and the router? Surely you are using the normal encrypted WiFi communication for connections between your clients and the router, WPA2, which...

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

I don't have an RT-AC88U and nor do I have an ExpressVPN subscription but looking at ExpressVPN's own web site the instructions for a manual install on a supported ASUS router doesn't talk about installing any firmware whatsoever. So, by there own web site this is plain wrong! It does mention...

    Australia not supported on AX11000?

I would also like to add that I'm sure I set the region on my AX11000 at least once and I've only updated the firmware once since I've had it. So it was there at some point.

    Australia not supported on AX11000?

Hi, I recently got a AX11000 too and I'm located in Oz. Do you mean you can't select region in wireless settings? What problem are you having because of it? Having seen this I wondered if I had set the wireless region last time I reset to defaults, as I normally do, and now I can't find the...

    ASUS RT-AC5300 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45149

The only possible case this might be OK for is those setups that use only tri-band router and nodes. What about setups that don't have all tri-band devices! All this does is make the already poor backhaul node selection even worse. Clueless just isn't a strong enough description for this...

Port Forwarding issue on AC86U - not able to specify source IP

I'm having trouble understanding what your trying to do? Port forwards apply to forwarding incoming traffic from the router internet port to an internal device for supplied port or port range. But I don't really understand the source IP field, I thought it was meant to be used in cases where...

    GUI on AiMesh Node

Umm .... IGMP Snooping, since it seems the default doesn't allow wireless users to see, for example, Minecraft LAN game broadcasts. Perhaps setting IGMP Snooping is just plain broken though since the wireless went to poo after a while when I set it on the AiMesh router, but Minecraft broadcast...

AiMesh: which wireless settings get propogated to nodes

Hi all, Can anyone tell me which wireless settings are propagated to AiMesh nodes from the AiMesh router, including the settings under the Professional tab, both at initial setup and when a setting is changed on the AiMesh router?

    Netgear P9000 or ASUS RT-AC86U

You might be misunderstanding what's being said. The issue is "schedule granularity", openvpn (by the sound of it) is not written to have multiple scheduleable threads so it cannot utilize more than one CPU. It may use sub-processes to get limited threading but that's not really going to cut...
