    You could ask Asus what the reason for the frequency increase is. There might be a good reason. Or not :-)

    Not everyone uses your AB... ;-) . And it can be mitigated by filtering (make it optional?). Although I am not defending the high frequency of the polling, it might add to quick reconnection or reporting in case of loss of connectivity? Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G935F met Tapatalk

    Not Merlin, but so far I haven't found any reference [on the www] to issues that would occur when disabled. Haven't checked the code though, only walked through it. But is this worth our effort? It fills the log and that is the only impact. Don't think even 10 calls a minute truly impacts...

    Set it up by giving a static IP through the printer webgui. Followed by using the router to bind IP to the Mac address (select the router in the network list and use the option) and switched router to DHCP back again.     No he (and you) can't (closed source components) and in some case does not want to, taking into account the massive impact some changes may have in other pieces of codes (or relationship with closed source parts)....

    "Password auth succeeded for 'admin' from 46.20.215.170:52354" That's in to me. And same IP range as others.

    You might want to close your WAN access ASAP. Other steps are explained in this thread and the Merlin thread. @RMerlin So issue is generic.
