    So, by using an AC AiMesh node with an AX main router, you're limiting the main router to 80 MHz? Better to dump the AiMesh setup and just use the AC device as an AP?

    That's how I set up my current node; the only change I've made since first setting up the node and the main router was to switch over to Merlin on the GT-AX6000; the node was left as is.

    A related question, if I might ask it here. I've read that running an AC AiMesh node with an AX main router is not recommended, but I don't recall the reasoning. Also, if it isn't recommended should I set the node up as a simple AP instead? Running a GT-AX6000 with an RT-AC86U as an AiMesh...

    It was at $310 just a few days ago on Amazon. Wait for the price to come down and then have Best Buy price match Amazon so you can use your BB reward points. That's how I bought mine; I had about $295 in rewards and had them price match at Amazon's price of $325 which is what it was at the time...

    It has dropped to $330 as recently as July. I use The Camelizer to track pricing though I'm sure there are other price-tracking methods as well. Yes, $330 is still a stack of money, but $40 is $40. :)
