    Are all your connection problems on only the 2.5 ghz band? If so see if you have “airtime fairness” disabled in the professional tab under wifi. I know I had issues with my printer and other IoT when I had it enabled. Now with it disabled everything have been good.

    I think it is something to do with aiprotect. I have a RT-AC5300 and when I turn it off the CPU goes back to normal. I’ve tried resetting everything and setup manually but comes back after 1/2 a day with aiprotect on. It started happening after the most resent Merlin firmware.

    You can use the link below to test your AiProtect. Before when I was jumping around with firmware to test I found aiprotect broken and will not have any events. Only way was to reset router to factory and manually enter all settings. https://www.wicar.org/test-malware.html

    Do you have parental control , time scheduling on? For me that was the cause on my RT-ac5300. It would work fine for a few days and then I can’t load the GUI. After turning it off it runs fine for over 30 days.

    I have an RT-AC5300. I’ve updated to this update from 384.4 beta 3. A day after update I can’t connect to the login page of the router. Only way to get in is to reboot router then the next day I can’t get in again. Any help?

    RT-N66U and Mac Id's

    If you setup the MAC filter make sure it is enabled and set "Mac filter mode" to accept. Also if you setup filter on the 2.5 ghz it doesn't filter on the 5 ghz. So you need to set that up too.
