    Isolating an AirPrinter in Vlan

If I read you correctly, you are saying that you want the network working without access to the internet? That is possible. When you say you can't connect, what is the error? what device are you trying to connect to? Is it wireless or wired? Does anything respond like pings, etc?

Adding a Google Home and mini to the mix

You'll find a lot on the forum when you look into sticky clients. On the AP end, your options are limited as the determination when to switch to APs is mostly on the client end. You can do some things to trick the client, but that usually requires some sort of management. In my house, I have a...

    Cisco SG300-28

They are normal ports. I am not sure why the ports are labeled differently and offset, but there is nothing special about them.

    Slow network across switches

A few more questions. You say if everything is plugged into one switch, the performance is fine? Have you tried running the HP switch in unmanaged mode to see if that makes a difference? Have you tried running a different performance test (file copy, ftp, etc) to see if it is an iperf thing?

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Is your only goal to balance the load among the three devices? Is there any need to keep the devices on each AP separate from each other?

    IPSEC and switch

What are the routers at each location? You shouldn't need the switch to assign different IP addresses to separate devices on the LAN.

Shared Cable VLAN LAN & WAN

You can do this with vlans, but is there any reason why you aren't putting your router on the front end instead of the back end? A bit clearer of a setup and if the cable between the two locations goes down, only half your network will lose its gateway.

Setup static route to ip address on router

It should be enough to place a static route for 10.10.100 to 192.168.0.10 on 192.168.0.1 . It seems strange that the router doesn't keep the network in it's route table and tries that subnet over the WAN, but depending on the settings that could be the case.

Setup static route to ip address on router

What is on the 192.168.1.0 network?

PXE boot Windows from a NAS? (and even using a net share for a swapfile?)

It could be possible. But most things I have seen have booting PXE as a way of installing the OS, not really sharing resources. For what you are looking at, it would be more of a VDI solution these days. More flexible, larger collection of endpoints it will work with.

Using a single NAS with multiple disks

you can always buy a 4 bay nas and only use one or two disks. it won't give you redundancy, but at least your NAS isn't just sitting there. but most software won't let you go from raid 1 to raid 5 without creating a new volume, so you would need to backup all of your data anyway before adding...

What do I need to learn? (need to design a SAN/NAS up to 300TB))

I would probably say that you are in the wrong forum. You would probably get more traffic and better guidance on the FreeNas or OpenFiler forums. Not that there aren't smart people here, but the task you are describing is way beyond small network. It's possible to learn how to do this yourself...

Using a single NAS with multiple disks

Although the drives are hot-swappable, this is more of a feature for replacing damage disks without shutting down the system. You may save a little money up front this way, but you are adding a lot of complexity to the system. You are also losing efficieny. 3 sets of 4TB RAID1 gets you 12TB...

Need advice, Upgrade Synology or get Drobo Pro

What model of the drobo specifically? The iSCSI models are more for people looking to add to a SAN network. It works with iSCSI, so you will need to setup iSCSI volumes on your workstations. It doesn't have the ability to serve SMB shares, for example, so it is a bit more complicated to setup...

    Thoughts on my home network?

Can you describe what issues you are having? How many total APs do you have for each network? For simplicity and performance, I would typically recommend segregating the networks using VLANs. what model routers do you have. Do you have one or multiple ISPs?

Problem with adding new switch to network

what model router/switch are you using? managed/unmanaged switch?

Aggregating 2 or more WAN links?

Like you said, the ISP can offer the bonded service. Many ISPs do it because there infrastructure doesn't allow for higher speeds. So for example your DSL tops out at 25 Megabits. The reason for the technician visit is because the bonded connection requires another physical connection to the...

    Ubiquiti Network

There is a team that has a 3rd party package support for it: http://synology.acmenet.ru/ If you look on the synology forums, there is also some instructions on running it through docker. I used the 3rd party package for a while, but since it depends on java, it was always a bit wonky. had to...

Cloud Sync my time machine folder to dropbox

From a technical standpoint, this is not something that I have tried. It may have to do with how the time machine files are actually configured. the latest backup is really a bunch of symlinks to older files that haven't changed with some new links to new files. Due to the way these are...

NETGEAR Introduces Orbi Wi-Fi Mesh system

Glad to see there is lots of innovation (or at least options) in this space.
