    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 50E8

Also with that big a jump, you will definitely need to reformat jffs after the update.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

It takes 15sec (or maybe 30, don't remember off the top of my head) to actually log you out Are you running any custom anti-virus suites? Some will attempt net scans trying common logins.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

What kind of device is 192.168.1.61 OPTIMUS? Doing anything special? It looks like it's doing bursts of logins to the router that trigger the httpd check fails. In the latest log, the router actually recovered a couple of times, but then finally couldn't handle it and gave up. Then 16hrs...

    DNS Masq and TP-Link Extender

I have an RE200 extender. Not sure if the 650 is the same, but clients connecting to the RE200 extender get a 'blended' mac address. The first three octets of the extender mac, combined with the last three octets of the actual client. So you would have to enter that new mac into DNSFilter for...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

There's a 50D9 build for the AC66U in the Development/Beta folder. Haven't had a chance to test it, but it should work. You can set an nvram to prevent the reboot when the watchdog crash is detected. nvram set wd_norestart=1 nvram commit assuming ssh isn't crashed as well, we may be able to...

Protected Management Frames option in 386.3

I don't have a router that supports it to check, but the option may be hidden if you have WPA3 authentication selected, since WPA3 requires PMF.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 50E8

As @ColinTaylor mentioned, you can assign a new name while setting a fixed ip under the LAN DHCP settings.... If you don't want to assign a fixed ip, you can make a /jffs/configs/dnsmasq.conf.add file with one line for each client you want to rename dhcp-host=macid, newhostname I always...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

Bingo...../var is a link to /tmp/var which resides in the tmpfs space. So something is eating up the space. Let me think a bit.....may need to do a debug build that removes the restart to we can see what it is. Another option might be to open an ssh session and run the following while true; do...

QoS not working on latest version 386.3

Somebody did a fork of Freshtomato and and made a kernel patch set (pretty BIG) so that the old AC68 kernel could support Cake. If anyone is really interested, I have the link somewhere.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

I spent some time looking at commits, and couldn't see anything that would cause what your are seeing (especially not contained only to the AC66?). Fail starts with a check of the http server (a unique check on this fork that actually tries to talk to the server instead of just checking that the...

QoS not working on latest version 386.3

I didn't have Merlin up to try it....my fork doesn't do any translation, so wasn't sure about which direction :)

QoS not working on latest version 386.3

If all you are worried about are dashes.....pipe the get thru sed $(nvram get http_username | sed "s/%2D/-/g")

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 50E8

Yes Probably not. The FRAGATTACK fix needs updated wireless drivers from ASUS, and I believe the remaining routers supported by the fork are all considered EOL by ASUS. https://www.asus.com/event/network/eol-product/

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 50E8

I actually remember struggling with this from a user interface point of view. Once you enable DoT, the base WAN DNS server settings are no longer used, so can be set to anything. But the screen jump was 'jarring' if I tried to hide them when selecting DoT. I'll give it a little more...

android phone usb tethering does not work on asus rt-n66w

Should be no difference in USB tethering between releases 47 and 50 (the USB tethering rework happened in release 44 and I don't know of any updates that explicitly would change it). Chalk it up to an unknown patch interaction or just a reboot finally sorting things out.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

    For your case, I'd definitely start with a jffs reformat.... Jul 5 00:54:06 watchdog: restart httpd, error detected or process not responding (12) Jul 5 00:54:06 rc_service: watchdog 387:notify_rc stop_httpd Jul 5 00:54:06 rc_service: watchdog 387:notify_rc start_httpd Jul 5 00:54:06...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

Did you move any of the 'certs' to jffs to free nvram space? In the syslog I saw a variety of httpd check errors...a timeout and two different cert verification fails. If so, it may be worthwhile to restore those from a different backup if available.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

In your syslog I see multiple instances of the httpd server not being available, and the last reboot was caused by the watchdog process going away....very strange. Since you are running a MIPS based router, when was the last time your reformatted JFFS? (because of how JFFS is allocated on MIPS...
