    well that is an ancient firmware for the AC87U. Try to upgrade to latest version (be aware that you need to reset it to defaults and re-setup from scratch... not the backup file) and get back to us if after re-setting it at E.G. 380.63_2 (12-Nov-2016) or the latest 380.64_beta2 the issue is...

    When it comes to installing a stable rmerlins on stock it's just 1) (suggested 99% of time) factory defaults (from webui) 2) upload firmware via webui 3) factory defaults via webui 4) set up router to your liking from webui 5) enjoy :)

    @mFeinstein ... #2 Rmerlins ASUSWRT rather than modding should be understood as making ASUSWRT coded properly. These are far superior in terms of quality, stability, functionality firmwares to ASUS's codes...

    Has the RT-AC87U been fixed?

    I was more than happy with recent firmwares both from ASUS and from RMerlin ... Running smooth and fast. Only suggestion -> go through all 5GHz and check which has best output for ya. Choosing the 'one right' channel boosted my transfers from 25MB/s up to 45MB/s ;)

    oh c'mon... using many AC87U features on 380_3459 and it's rock solid for me... Did you clear your settings prior to update and then for sure cleared them once again after the update followed by setting up your router from scratch?

    Any suggestions how to debug it? Turn off the ipv6 firewall? A 6to4 works ok... my ISP states that the router should resolve the wan gateway as prefix::2

    I believe there are a dozen of SNB members related to ASUS who are aware of the issue ;) The question is why is there work done on this particular bug.
