Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

I am not disabling secure mode, but restricting allowed client to only one. I have two corporate issued laptops in household which have few software which tends to open way too many ports if allowed is list is default all local lan ( 192.168.23.1/255.255.255.0 in my case), my post conf updates...

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

well, the error didn't say anything about wrong IP segment, it did not complain about incomplete config. Look at samba or nginx, which expects a solid config before starting, and it makes troubleshooting much easier. I did open the issue not sure if maintainer will accept it or not.

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

@sfx2000 I am running the miniupnpc on raspberrypi itself.. but as you can see in above comments, I had a post conf script in router (Which runs on router startup) which was screwing up the config, causing it to miss the allowed subnet. Probably I should open an issue in github for miniupnpd. If...

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

I did add that check when I found out the upnp.postconf was the creator of this problem. but without local dnsmasq it was always skipping.

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

Thank you.. that seems to be working. Let me add it to the script, and "pretend it never even happened"

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

@dave14305 you brought up a good point. I totally forgot that I have a upnp.postcof script which was suppose to block all hosts except this one raspberrypi. For some reason on the router its not finding the local clients and my script basically screwed up the config. cat...

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

sorry about that.. coming from IT service background we always try to mask internal IPs and mac address in public forums. checking the config now.

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

Here is the config.. my network is on 192.168.23 segment, and I obviously let that cat out by forgetting to update that command before I pasted it here. ext_ifname=ppp0 listening_ip=br0 port=0 enable_upnp=yes enable_natpmp=yes secure_mode=yes upnp_nat_postrouting_chain=PUPNP...

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

no luck there too.. I went little bit too deep in this rabbit hole.. I ran the daemon in debug mode (-dd is the key) #start the daemon killall miniupnpd || miniupnpd -f /etc/upnp/config -dd #on the client side execute the step to add redirect upnpc -u...

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

No luck.. I am using this script to automatically map it (https://gist.github.com/mvadu/44c55b05d4614cf07d9833e0b44bf27a) which was working until few months ago, and seems to have been broken in last few firmware upgrades.

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

I am not an expert, but I have bunch of servers that are purely internal. I only want to expose this one raspberry pi, that too on an on demand basis. Enabling Full cone will make all my servers available from external , which is much larger exposure than I am ready for. In the past I have used...

Does Merlin provides ntp server by default

in many DIY IOT scenarios (ESP32 with a LiPo in my case) going for external NTP takes additional time compared to getting it from router. As @ColinTaylor said it all boils down to what you are trying to solve. But the "Intercept NTP client requests" does not have any relationship with when DST...

Solved upnp throwing ConflictInMappingEntry even though port is free, target is local host

I am trying to get a simple port forwarding to a raspberrypi. I am not trying to forward to a different host, I am running the upnp client from pi, and I keep getting ConflictInMappingEntry, which per old threads comes only if the port is already taken or if the target is different from the IP...

Does Merlin provides ntp server by default

Thank you.. I am not sure how, but after fixing the order of users (with the commands you gave in other thread) ntp seems to be working. But I also read this other thread on same issue which is more like mine. My original config came from ac-87 imported to ac-3100. In that thread @L&LD cautioned...

Does Merlin provides ntp server by default

I see this option in Merlin, which both are enabled. 1. Enable local NTP server 2. Intercept NTP client requests I don't remember when I changed it on AC-3100. I haven't done the custom setup given here (Setting up an NTP Server for your local lan · RMerl/asuswrt-merlin.ng Wiki (github.com))...

Is there any way to block certain URLs for certain MAC addresses? (YES - solved)

Sorry to comment on this old thread.. I am looking for same result (blocking certain URLs on certain devices, but not whole domains). Does the "iptables --url" method blocks only certain urls matching a pattern or its more of certain domain level block? case in point, I don't want to block...

Monitoring the Asus RT-AC68U with the Telegraf agent Grafana and InfluxDB

One problem I see with telegraf repo is all their input/output plugins are part of main repo itself, and build process has to build the entire package. I am thinking about forking it and just keeping necessary bits. That should take care of both build time as well as final binary size. Its not...

Monitoring the Asus RT-AC68U with the Telegraf agent Grafana and InfluxDB

Did you ever got to cross compiling? I have two routers (ac-86u which is aarch64, and a ac-3100 which is armv7) and 86u is a mesh node, I have not enabled entware there. Have to find a way to get telegraf going on both.

Thanks for pointing it out.. I was indeed referring to 386.1_2 released few days ago which mentions fixing parental control bug.
