    Enable DNSSEC with OpenDNS

I enabled it yesterday, but did not reboot. I will try that tomorrow in the morning. Is anyone here who uses DNSSEC on Asuswrt-Merlin with OpenDNS and can confirm that everything works ?

I got interested in DNSSEC and want to enable it on my Asus AC88U router running Asuswrt-Merlin 384.15. But as I understand the DNS hosting provider has also to support it. I am using OpenDNS server and few days ago they announced that they will start supporting DNSSEC in this blog post: DNSSEC...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

My DHCP Sercer Starting Address was 192.168.1.3, after I saw today that pixelsrv does not work I set it to 192.168.1.4. But now I set it again to 192.168.1.3. I tried runnig update and upgrade installed packages from diversion but that did not help either.

    Limit Bandwidth Guest Network

Asus finally added this feature to the UI. Under Guest Network now the Bandwidth of every guest network can be limited individually. Which is a really must have feature.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Thanks. I have OpenDNS account and have configured some custom filtering settings. Now under Asuswrt Settings in WAN → WAN DNS Settings I set the DNS to OpenDNS And in LAN → DNSFiltering I set the Global Filter to Router. Now the Ad Blocking from Diversion is working. But there is...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I installed the amtm and then Diversion. But I don't see ads being blocked. Am I missing something ? Do I have to do something more ? How can I test if it works ?

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I have few questions about the installation: After enabling JFFS custom scripts and SSH on the router and connecting a USB (EXT4 Format) to my router, I have to connect via SSH. After successful connection I will be on the path /tmp/home/root Should I run from here the command curl -Os...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

Running 384.5 Firmware on RT-Ac88U and everything works perfectly. I have a question, if the Asus Router BRT-AC828 has the Captive Portal functionality wouldn't it be possible to make that functionality also available for other Asus Routers ?

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Just updated my RT-AC88U to 384.4. Did a reset and everything seems to work perfectly. I had to adjust the time: This is how it should be corrected: I disabled the 5Ghz on my Router, shouldn't the Smart Connect be automatically disabled ? I always disable UPnP on my router, but what...

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

With my RT-AC88U I am on 380.68 (today updated to 380.69). I had a problem with my WebOS TV as it did not want to download any content, so I thought that the problem might be OpenDNS (which it was, the same goes for Amazon Fire TV). I wanted to turn off OpenDNS by going to WAN → DDNS → and...

IFTTT - how much do you care about security?

Asus Router and IFTTT sound like a really nice feature [here]. I don't quite get why Web access from WAN is required, but it sure is a security concern, mostly for those which are not aware what they are about to do. Maybe if choosing a really good password (strong one) for Web Access from WAN...
