    AX88U Wi-fi Question/Issue

So selecting 48 should do the trick? And not sure what you mean by put a strip of 20mhz. In my bandwidth section, I have 20/40/80/160 selected.

    AX88U Wi-fi Question/Issue

huh... neither of those 2 (50 and 114) are selectable in my router. My choices are: 36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161, 165. and funnily enough, not sure if I had those 2 before, but I could swear I had more channels selectable before. Is there some setting that's reducing available channels?

AC86U after a few days has no 5ghz clients.

And actually, will probably dedicate some time this weekend at the cable entry point to see if I can track down which cable goes into the bedroom. If I can figure that out, i'll get another MOCA adapter (and a 3-way splitter) and get the bedroom node wired in as well.

AC86U after a few days has no 5ghz clients.

The whole house is ~3600 sqft. Lets call the front door 12'oclock, from the center of the house (it is centered). Main x88u is at about 5 o'clock on the first floor. That's TV room. First 86u node is at about 8 o'clock on first floor as well. That's master bed. They are about 55 linear feet...

AC86U after a few days has no 5ghz clients.

Wanted to update. After about 1 week of back and forth with support with attempts at "fixes" (change channel, change width, etc.), they asked me for the logs of the device and some other info. They finally decided to RMA again (this time free shipping), and ended up confirming the issue with...

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

May have to be some late night testing after everyone is out in that case :) . And i'll echo that some of the settings on these are not well explained/documented.

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

I echo @degrub . Unplug everything, even the modem. Start with just the 2 MOCA adapters and check the transmission rate/stability. Then, one by one, add devices, checking transmission and stability, until you see which one is the issue. If you start off with instability, then it may be a cabling...

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

I do see something that may be an issue. In your latest diagram, you have the Antronix splitter as 5-1002 MHz. From what I know, MOCA 2.5 functions in frequencies above 1100, so that splitter may be blocking some of your signal. Just a quick thought.

What does preferred NC do? I have that on mine, but I did not activate.

    AX88U Wi-fi Question/Issue

If I'm getting 1.7gbps, is there any benefit to getting the Killer AX1650 on my laptop? or is the just taking the connection to 2.4 gbps? is there a range benefit with AX cards?

    AX88U Wi-fi Question/Issue

Funnily enough, I tried again at my new place and now have it going at 20/40/80/160, and I'm connecting at 160, with AX enabled. One key difference, I noticed that at 160 only, the highest channel available was 148. When I switched back to all frequencies, I set my desired channel to 148. Not...

    AX88U Wi-fi Question/Issue

I had already done everything you suggested, except running ONLY 160 MHz. Once I did that, now I'm seeing 1.7 Gbps. That's very interesting, and I wonder why that's the case? Is there a downside to not running 20/40/80/160 instead of 160 only?

    AX88U Wi-fi Question/Issue

Just got an AX88u to setup at my new place. Install to latest merlin plus scripts seems to have gone well. My question is on the Wi-Fi connection speed. While my laptop's card is a Killer 1550 (Intel 9260) with no AX, I have connected to another 160 MHZ router (a netgear R7800) at 1.7 gbits...

amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Hi there! Getting an ax88u to setup as my main aimesh router, and converting my 86u to a node. Got a Samsung Fit USB drive to install amtm/diversion/skynet, but was wondering if there was a preference for USB ports on the 88x? Is there interference or anything like that in one but not the other...

    MoCA2.5 adapters is coming

here is a link to all the WebUI pages for the Translite 2.5 device: https://imgur.com/a/NdJYu4g Set it up at the new place (after dealing with some spectrum wiring issues), but seeing a good stable connection from TV room downstairs, to upstairs office (using BAMF 3-way splitter at Spectrum...

AC86U after a few days has no 5ghz clients.

My 86u started acting up again and support has been pretty much useless. Tempted to get the ax88u. Hows it been working for you? Range, speed etc. Thinking I'd use the ax88 as my main, and then my working 86u as a hardwired aimesh in a different room. And if they every fix the broken 86u I...

    MoCA2.5 adapters is coming

Yup, will do. Hoping the new place has good cables set in. It does have a WebUI, and while some of it is self-explanatory, other parts could use better explanations of what they do or how to tweak. the phy connect rate showed something like 3650 or something thereabout (not sure since I packed...

    MoCA2.5 adapters is coming

Just got mine today. Have tested uploads from my PC (with nvme SSD) to a local server (Synology DS1512+), while simultaneously pulling from the internet (1 gbit). Saw around 850+ mbit for the upload, and 900mbit for the download, so it was at least running 1700mbit through the connection. My...

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

Yup, the SB8200 is what my current ISP uses for DOCSIS 3.1 and that's what my page says, albeit with the higher frequencies. I guess I'll have to wait for the install to see what they're coming in with. Once again, thanks!!
