[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

I'm currently running Pi-Hole on a Raspberry PI and am very happy with it, but have noticed lots of people mentioning this solution. Are there any real benefits to switching to AB-Solution? Being an 'all in one' product running on the router doesn't mean much to me, I'm quite happy with a...

I'm not sure the problem was diagnosed but I bow to your greater wisdom.

    Asus AC68U gives a half of 200 mb/s connection

Try putting a switch between the router and the modem, with both devices plugged into it. You might get a better idea of what speeds are being negotiated?

    Multiple Switches (x2) - Bottle-Necking?

That is definitely the easiest route. You can even repurpose an old router into an wireless access point if you have one spare. Plenty of guides on the internet, its very easy.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.63_2 is now available

Think you saw a bit of a anomaly there as I'm on an identical setup Sky Fibre/AC87U/HG612/380.63 and all fine for me.

    Multiple Switches (x2) - Bottle-Necking?

My guess is that the one PC that works is grabbing a single IP address handed out by the Cable Modem. This prevents the WAN side of the router getting an IP address and anything on the other side of the router will also then have no connection. You also talk about router, first switch and second...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

Think of it like your are forwarding a letter that somebody has sent to you. You forward it on to a forwarding address. You can't send it on to two different addresses as there is a only a single letter.

    [Official] RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9177

Merlin has fixed it in the latest .56 beta. If the name is too long it now gets truncated I believe.

    [Official] RT-AC87U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9177

Probably stating the obvious, but have people tried deleting cookies/cache or connecting with a 'private' session? I had a Draytek where the UI went absolutely crazy after every firmware update - problem was it was pulling bits of the UI from the cache and bits from the router. Admittedly, it...

    RT-AC87U Merlin firmware v 378.55 - Smart QOS

I feel so stupid! I double checked the figures and still managed to swap them! Thanks for replying, much appreciated. Feel free to delete the thread! Andy.

    RT-AC87U Merlin firmware v 378.55 - Smart QOS

Possible issue discovered.. I enabled Smart QOS on Merlin, and noticed that my download speed had been severely capped. In the QOS UI, I set my download to 61Mbit and upload to 18Mbit, as recorded from my modem and various speed tests. However, my *download* seems to be capped at 18Mbit - the...
