[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Native IPv6 here. All works as expected, 10/10 on test-ipv6. DNSFilter enabled with Global mode Router and no exceptions.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

I disabled Skynet (through the menu, did not uninstall fully) last night but the errors persisted. Not noticing any visible issues with DNS resolution or DHCP so this seems to be somewhat limited to a syslog nuisance at this point.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Will pursue the add ones further. Anything change from .8 to .9 that would trigger this? Downgrading to .8 I never see this. Only if I upgrade to .9

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

I have this error too. Doesn’t show on 384.8. Showed on the 384.9 beta as well. I have a AC3100. No VPN clients active, tried with and without VPN servers running. Stubby, Skynet running on router. YazFi as well but it was previously disabled and this error still showed. Every couple of hours...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Downgraded to b1, same issue. Rolled back to 384.8_2 for now which does not display the issue.

    Stubby-Installer-Asuswrt-Merlin

Based on Stubby not starting, I am assuming there is a syntax issue with your yml. It looks like the first IPv6 entry has an extra leading space on both lines at the very least. stubby -i -C /opt/etc/stubby/stubby.yml Might provide hints.

For the adult filter specifically: Adult Filter Blocks access to all adult, pornographic and explicit sites. It does not block proxy or VPNs, nor mixed-content sites. Sites like Reddit are allowed. Google and Bing are set to the Safe Mode. Domain:: adult-filter-dns.cleanbrowsing.org IPv4...

    Stubby-Installer-Asuswrt-Merlin

FWIW, my nvram entries for the IPv6-related DNS server entries are blank and the router on its own pushes its own IPv6 address to clients for DNS resolution. I do not use the installer script, but have stubby configured by hand in a very similar manner. I also have the DNS entries on the DHCP...

    Stubby-Installer-Asuswrt-Merlin

I am using a manual stubby/Entware setup, not via the installer although I did take the .yml from the installer prior to the recent changes. I have two IPv4 and two IPv6 servers and it runs fine. The spacing issue really was the issue for me.

    Stubby-Installer-Asuswrt-Merlin

I had weird issues with the stubby config file not loading. I ended up going through and retyping all leading spaces/tabs which bizarrely fixed it. Seems stubby is sensitive on the config front in my experience. This had nothing to do with what options were set and I did not have to change...

dns filter disappeared from the router's interface

That’s because it’s under the LAN section. It moved several versions ago.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

The v1 resolver .csv file is not really maintained anymore. It's available in an alternate repo for archive purposes. Download the v1 installer (just download, don't execute or use the command in the README) and open it in your favorite text editor. Replace the URL on line 148 with...

Info: Stubby 0.2.3 (latest) is on entware.

Great summary. One minor thing, no + needed in your chmod command. Anyone experimented with putting stubby in jffs so as to not rely on Entware/external drive mounting? How does stubby handle a fresh boot with no time set, does it need a successful NTP sync?

I believe what's on the WAN page is less important than what's on the LAN page as that defines what is given out to clients. As long as no-resolv is in dnsmasq.conf, I don't think the WAN page DNS servers have any influence.

Set this to No. Leave this set as No and blank both DNS fields (you currently have 1.1.1.1 defined) On the LAN -> DHCP Server page, make sure both DNS fields are blank but set "Advertise router's IP in addition to user-specified DNS" to Yes.

Info: Stubby 0.2.3 (latest) is on entware.

I don't understand the need to mess around with resolv.dnsmasq. I presently use the dnscrypt-proxy installer, but previously when I had it setup manually the only config changes required were adding no-resolv to dnsmasq.conf.add and an entry to point dnsmasq to the resolving proxy/stub. I have...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.6 is now available

Any advice as to what causes a stalled shutdown? I've had some dirty scheduled reboots recently as well but no luck in diagnosing what is stalling the reboot process.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Is anyone in contact with Cloudflare to help fix this? They claim to support DNSSEC so I would think they would have interest in ironing this out. Has anyone tried without DNScrypt in the middle to isolate the issue? I’d investigate, but can only reach CF via IPv6 which introduces a whole host...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.6 is now available

As a test I withdrew DDNS consent. Browsing to the DDNS page and trying to reenable the client brought up the agreement to once again consent.
