Unable to stream camera out of LAN, have done loads before.

Hi thanks. I have zero experience of doing the VPN server procedure, my router is RT-AC68U, i've had it for years, it's been solid, merlins firmware, 380.62. I Just don't understand why i can't just open port for these new cameras, just like i've been doing for years with the android mjpeg...

Unable to stream camera out of LAN, have done loads before.

Hi bbunge, i don't understand what you mean. I could do with a step by step tutorial. I just want to simply stream multiple video streams out of my lan for remote viewing, i thought i'd cracked it when i opened 2 ports for camera 1, i opened ports 554 and 11554 for ip address 192.168.0.5 and i...

Unable to stream camera out of LAN, have done loads before.

Ok so i have managed to get one camera streaming outside my lan, i had to also open another port for the camera, port 554, so that's 2 ports per camera. However if i set up a 2nd camera, give it static ip, open different port and then also the RTSP port 554 i get the message from my router...

Unable to stream camera out of LAN, have done loads before.

    AC66U as a repeater?

I have exactly the same set up, AC68 to repeater N66, the N66 didn't find the AC68 5ghz during the scan, i manually typed in the AC68 5ghz instead, then the N66 connected to the 5ghz. The N66 now transmits it's own 2.4 rpt and 5 rpt. Merlins 380.62 on both routers. Paul.

RT-AC68U DLNA problems (not seeing device/disconnecting)

I also get the same intermittent problem, AC68, Merlins 380.62, Sony and Samsung TV connected to 5GHZ, serviio server app on my pc (windows vista, ethernet to router). I used to have the exact same set up with my N66, no problems. I did a factory reset on my AC68 then reconfigured all settings...

RP-N53 could not detect 5Ghz signal (1m away from RT-N66U)

A similar situation, router number 1 AC68, router number 2 N66 acting as wireless repeater, when i did the wifi scan with the N66 i didn't see the 5ghz from my AC68 (or my neighbour's 5ghz ), the N66 only saw all the 2.4's. I had to manually type in the 5ghz name and password which i wanted...

HELP! Trouble setting up an ASUS RT-AC87U as media bridge to Hitron Modem/Router combo...

That modem/ router combo can be put into modem only mode, surely that would be more simple, then just use the Asus as the router. Paul

Repeater mode not working on 5Ghz band (RT-AC68U - 380.57)

What I meant was, House 1, hub in modem mode, Ethernet to AC 68. House 2,N66 acting as wireless repeater, grabbing the signal from house 1/AC68. My N66 is grabbing the 5ghz from my AC 68, both devices are broadcasting 2.4ghz and 5ghz, 4 different names.

Repeater mode not working on 5Ghz band (RT-AC68U - 380.57)

Ah I see, I'd still have the hub 3 in modem mode, Ethernet to AC68 in one house then use another Asus as a repeater. That's what I'm doing now, my N66 repeating the AC68 Those hubs are just junk for wireless. Paul.

Repeater mode not working on 5Ghz band (RT-AC68U - 380.57)

Why are you repeating the virgin hub 3 ? Put the hub into modem only mode and use the Asus as the router. Paul.

ASUS RT-N66U Router / Access Point

Im using the almost same setup, SH1 (not SH3, more of that in a minute) in modem only mode, originally i was using an N66 but i needed more range at the far reaches of my property for one of my wireless ip cameras, ie outside of my property in my shed looking back at my house (mains...

Using Asus N66u with sky hub

I did have what you currently have, ie, Virgin Media superdud in modem only mode with an N66, i swapped the N66 for an AC68, a nice upgrade, then i put the N66 into wireless repeater mode, N66 repeating the 5ghz from the AC68. It was very easy to do. I have Merlins firmware on both routers...

N66 in wireless repeater mode, doesn't find any 5ghz.

I seem to have found the solution, on the N66 i had to manually type in the 5ghz network name being broadcast from the AC68, i couldn't find it with a scan. Can anyone shed any light ? Thanks, Paul.

N66 in wireless repeater mode, doesn't find any 5ghz.

I have an RT-N66 in wireless repeater mode, AC68 is main router. On the N66, when i do a scan it only finds my AC68 2.4ghz and all my neighbours 2.4ghz, it doesn't find any 5ghz from my AC68, or my neighbours, i know there's at least one from neighbours. Is this correct ? The N66 can only find...

Time to sort my network out - help!

If the cable is laid straight, ie not going round any bends then you could use an ethernet coupler, connect the old cable and new cable, pull the old one out and pull the new one in. ( that's the electrician in me talking).

Remote viewing from ipcamera connected to wireless repeater.

I've got my N66 as a wireless repeater from my AC68. I've got multiple wireless ip cameras connected to the AC68, all cameras have static ip's given by the AC68, ports are opened, Asus DDNS is set up on the AC68, i can view those cameras from outside my Lan, all good, i can also view those...
