    Rt-ax86U disconnects frequently

    Resetting seems to help. I was having continuous problems until I reset this morning and changed the settings again. The problem with doing this is, I have to reconnect all the devices again - the Roku TVs(didn't have to do this with the Firestick) and the laptops.

    So, I had it with the Auto channel setup as you outline above. It worked fine for some time and then started disconnecting. I didn't have the Dual Band SmartConnect on though

    Love the MOCA suggestion. I did not know this was an option. This will work and is probably the cheaper option. But this gets me thinking that I can still get the Ethernet fixed and use an outdoor antenna to connect to the VOIP Residential amplifier VRA500B and get OTA TV signal in every room...
