    nope , just stock , but the E series chip for the 5 gig just make it so much better than the 68u , it may look the same physically as the rt-ac68u but the rt-ac86u is a wolf in sheep's clothing

    i wouldnt be going from the r7800 to the synology unless you didnt own the r7800 , yes any process will effect download speed esp qos no matter the routers then the synology isnt going to anything better wifi coverage or throughput wise the main claim to fame is the synology IPS which works...

    the v2 firmware does bring in daisy chain so orbi can work this way orbi router ---- sat ---- sat all via wifi but it will give a loss to the second sat ether way the orbi is still at the top of the pack from tims testing

    yes via ethernet you could dedicate the high 5 gig band with say 2 rt-ac5300 or 3200 already and use the 2.4 gig and low 5 gig for the clients , just set the high 5 gig band to a different ssid name and dont let anything else connect to it other than the backhaul

    yes it is , its also referred to as link bonding and its how you would achieve adding the two connection speeds together and has been done for a long time now with a wan bonding router and an isp that supports it
