    Unknown MAC Address in logs

Block it and wait for the squeals.

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

I had an unknown a couple of days back. I blocked it and about 30 minutes later the missus complained that her iPad couldn't get Facebook. I had that one sorted out but somehow one of the settings was changed.

If purchased in the UK, possible to change region?

Yes, that's like mine. I quoted from memory when I said Japan and not quite right. I see you've done what I did and set Korea. Maximum range of channels out of the settings.

If purchased in the UK, possible to change region?

I have an ASUS RTax86u bought from Amazon Australia that can change to quite a few countries incl. USA, Japan, Korea and more. No setting for Australia.

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

iPad and iPhone can randomise their MACaddrs. If you have any in the network then check their wifi settings.

RT-AX86U issue with intel AX210 on 5ghz band

I would go for number 4.

RT-AX86U issue with intel AX210 on 5ghz band

If there is no wire then that may be the cause of your problem. The Intel AX210 has two antenna cable connections which plug on to the AX210 card. These cables are IPEX MHF4 to RP-SMA and the antennas screw on to the RP-SMA end which shows through the motherboard I/O panel.

RT-AX86U issue with intel AX210 on 5ghz band

I have a RT-AX86U with stock FW and 100Mbps internet, an AX210, Win 11 Pro, an ASUS Z690M mobo, an Intel 12600 cpu, and I'm getting megabit WiFi speeds. They are a bit variable but I have seen link speeds of about 1000Mbps to 2400Mbps. My AX210 card is mounted on an ASUS AC58BT add in PCIe card...

AX58BT connects to AX88U in AC mode only

I don't have a solution and possibly not even a suggestion except to quote my own circumstance. I bought a PCE-AC58BT several years back. It comes with an Intel AC9260 mounted on it and uses Intel drivers. I recently swapped out the AC9260 for an Intel AX200 and achieved AX comms with a 160 wide...

[Root Cause Found] RT-AX88U Can't get link speed over 866.7Mbps with AX210 or AC-9260 WIFI in laptops (160MHz)

Thanks for that info Colin. I read the document and I'm not any more wise now than before I read it. However, I'll switch my router back to the default setting.

[Root Cause Found] RT-AX88U Can't get link speed over 866.7Mbps with AX210 or AC-9260 WIFI in laptops (160MHz)

As I indicated in post #77 I have a selection for a country on the Wireless / Professional page. Australia is not one of those selections. See the attached image. I tried some of the selections other than the default and I now have channels 120 to 128. I bought my router from Amazon Australia...

[Root Cause Found] RT-AX88U Can't get link speed over 866.7Mbps with AX210 or AC-9260 WIFI in laptops (160MHz)

I missed that missing 120-128. It was very late at night (2:00am) when I made that post.

[Root Cause Found] RT-AX88U Can't get link speed over 866.7Mbps with AX210 or AC-9260 WIFI in laptops (160MHz)

I have both available. See the attachments. I originally hard coded the control channel to 36 but the router took over and changed that setting to AUTO and set the control channel to 48. The second attachment is to correctly format the last three lines of the first attachment.

[Root Cause Found] RT-AX88U Can't get link speed over 866.7Mbps with AX210 or AC-9260 WIFI in laptops (160MHz)

I have an RT-AX86U. I also decided to check the country. I'm in Australia. On the WiFi Pro page the Region is set to Asia (default). I have finally achieved AX mode 160MHz by reading this thread. What did it for me is to force the channel width to 160MHz only. My client hardware is an Intel...

AX86U extremly low signal range for 5ghz

My RT-AX86U sits in a wardrobe in the bedroom. This where the ONT is and all works OK there. My wife uses her iPad in the dining room and gets her maximum possible speed of 866.7MHz. This is through three walls. My desktop is doing 960.7MHz and is a bit closer to the router.

ASUS RT-AX68U vs RT-AC68U. Worth the Upgrade?

I have an RT-AX86U. My Router is co-located with my ONT in a bedroom wardrobe. Not the best spot but I get as much wifi speed as my peripheral devices can handle at all locations in my house. This is certainly better than my ac68u.

    Don't understand 2.5

For use as a LAN port just plug it in. For use as a WAN connection there is a setting. I just went through a similar exercise recently and my desktop PC is now running at 2.5GHz. Note that when viewing the router status the 2.5G port shows as LAN5 and the current speed.

    Thinking of switching to VOIP

I'm also using this device. It's easily set up and works well. It keeps separate logs of phone calls and SIP activity. It also has what I call star functions (if allowed in set up) which can turn off (and on) things like Do Not Disturb etc. from the phone. See the attachment for allowed...

    GT-AXE11000: Don't use the latest AX210 driver

I have Win 11 which might make a difference (or not) and am running Version 22.90.0.5 for my AX210. There are some driver settings which might help push your AX210 towards 6e rather than letting it loaf along at Wifi6. Go Device Manager and select Properties for the AX210 and then Advanced tab...

    GT-AXE11000: Don't use the latest AX210 driver

What is the version of software that doesn't work? I'm somewhat new around here too. What is an AXE communication? thanks, bob.
