Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I need some help guys. I just re-enabled Diversion last night using the Minimal+ list and am finding webpages taking a long time to fully load. Chrome shows "Connecting..." on bottom left for up to 30 seconds.

Strange device name in client list

Not sure if this sheds any light on the issue but I recently updated the firmware on an RT-AC66U and connected it as a Repeater to an RT-AC86U. I used a wired connection with my laptop which has the Device name Samsung-PC. After taking the Repeater to the basement and turning it on it shows up...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Thanks Asad. I now get what is meant by single entry host list. I was thinking of something else. Don't mind the warnings. The ad blocking was interfering (minimally) with work emails so I want to try this before uninstalling altogether.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

For us noobs who don't know what we're doing but like to think we do, could you list the exact steps (if you remember) to get your setup from a 'default' Diversion install with Standard+ Hosts List? I think I know what to do but just want to make sure. Thank you in advance :)

I'll brave it and say count me in too. I figured out it was in d but it'd be nicer to have it on the main menu.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.15 Beta and 384.13_3 are now available

Thanks for this! Very helpful. I know what you mean. I'm nowhere near the level of the guys here but often times I see a problem and think "a clean install should fix that". I get saving time but for long term stability it's worth taking a few extra steps to do things properly. At least my OCD...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.15 Beta and 384.13_3 are now available

@AntonK Thanks for that link. I had not come across it. @L&LD If it's not already there maybe it's a good idea to add this guide to your profile? Since I'm a beginner with using scripts and USB drives I was wondering how exactly I'd go about updating firmware. Especially now that amtm will be...

[384.15_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

I believe that's what it is - they're in sleep mode and occasionally wake up. Ours does the same thing. Plus it's battery powered so makes sense it's trying to conserve power.

    AC86U 5GHz Randomly Dropping

Thanks for answering. This procedure didn't work on my first RT-AC86U which I eventually had to RMA, so was curious if it did on others. Hopefully it works on the replacement if ever necessary.

    Asus AC86 Dropping 5GHz

My RT-AC86U did this about a month back. Devices on 5GHz disconnected and then reconnected, but they were connecting 'through' the 5GHz SSID to the 2.4GHz radio. Meaning the 5GHz SSID was being broadcast and was able to connect to it but it was actually connecting to the 2.4GHz radio. At least...
