    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

John has done a great job with this utility. I decided to attach a USB stick to each of my routers. I was not using the USB slots for anything anyway. I really appreciate the time and dedication of the great IT guys that give so much of their time on this forum.;)

    PLEASE HELP: RTN-66U w/374.39 noob

Try updating the firmware or different builds. You've got it now so you might as well mess with it. I've tried Netgear, Linksys and now Asus. I've personally found the build quality is great on the Asus products and very difficult to brick. Nothing wrong with refurbished, so long as you get...

Is restoring previously saved settings safe?

This is getting to be more of a chore than I thought it would be. John I appreciate all the help. I have the vault on this USB stick. Might try messing about with this when I have a bit more time during the week.

Is restoring previously saved settings safe?

Having a tough time finding anything on amazon/google without encryption. So!Where is everyone purchasing from or can I remove the encryption from the Cruzer?

Is restoring previously saved settings safe?

Encryption Utility is enabled keep getting -sh:cd: can't cd /mnt/(usb directory) that I've assigned in the Utility. This just might be a sign that I just leave this router alone.:D

Is restoring previously saved settings safe?

I can usually figure most stuff out but I need baby steps to get johns utility to work. No problems with unzip extract but stuck big time after that:confused:

Is restoring previously saved settings safe?

I've done it multiple times without any problems.:) Why would it brick the router? That's what it's designed to do!

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

It's all really based on your personal environment. One setting is not going to work for everyone. My transmit setting is at the default and radio signal is dialed in not to overlap or mess with neighbors ( 1 - 6 or 11 are ideal & higher signal for 5ghz). Lots of people don't play nice with...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.47 is out

Roldogg I feel your pain. Thought it would be easy to reinstall 47, for the most part it was not that bad. After clearing nvram a couple of times on the router and resetting my modem. I seem to be back in business. Gotta have some patience with this stuff. Thanks for all the hard work RMerlin.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.47 is out

I had issues with 47 and just reinstalled 45 right over the top. Absolutely no issues. I have mine set up like yours DHCP is off on router #2 #1 does the assigning. I also have mac filtering setup which for most is over kill but it helps me sleep better at night.:D In my setup I have 4 routers...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.47 is out

Set the first router in default wireless mode and the second in AP mode. Try rolling back the firmware to 45. Give the money to charity if all works well.:)

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.47 is out

This has probably been discussed (but not sure). Some of the devices in the client status section are showing connected to the router, when they are wireless connections (RT-AC66U....47 & 45).
