    Thanks for your reply @L&LD I don't mind taking time to obtain an old PC and setup a NAS, so long as it doesn't cost, has better features than a Synology or QNAP. In fact I've seen a PC on EBAY and thought it would be a good bet. Let me know your thoughts.

    OMG, How stupid am I? Yes, you're right, I've been entering the wrong username. Sorry. I have now tried to access the network again to correct this. However it has totally disappeared and I can't see it anymore, so I'm not sure how to bring it back.

    I just assumed that just like a computer needing a reboot now and again, surely the router rebooting at 3am in morning is not going to cause any issues, is it? In fact it'll clear up any dodgy bugs or clogging up software? No??
