Skynet my setup which is working well (ymmv)

I installed skynet a couple of months ago and have been impressed by the amount of bad boys it allows me to easily block. Maybe someone finds my setup useful (or not): 1. used this list of filters: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jumpsmm7/GeneratedAdblock/master/filter.list 2. over time i...

Will 386.5_2-gnuton0 support for XT8 be rolled into mainline merlin ?

ok... but thats why version control systems exist... export the gnuton0 changes to the 386.5 baseline and import into the mainline merlin code. The best form of collaboration.

Now that the XT8 is supported via a gnuton0 build are there plans to roll it into the mainline merlin codebase? Iain

linux: logcheck filter rules for remote logging of asus router/aimesh systems

I activated remote logging on our gt-ax11000/rt-ax88u routers to our internal syslog server. Asus router/aimesh nodes are quite chatty so i created a logcheck filter file to remove crud from our logcheck reports. Simply copy the attached file to...

I just took a look at their homepage. Interesting. Been using fail2ban python package to block brute force attacks. Did you by any chance do a LFD vs. fail2ban comparision?

Best way to automatically block (add/delete) IP/CIDR ranges?

@ dovecot with STARTTLS certs are ok for my present needs. Not everyone I correspond with has setup SMTPS so port 25 is still required.

Best way to automatically block (add/delete) IP/CIDR ranges?

@kernol your full sentence was: "I am intrigued by your propensity to offer links in your posts - ostensibly to offer newly proposed solutions of your own." That is more than "intrigued" once the full context is shown as above. You then felt the need to supply 3 url's with respect to the IP of...
