    I use CyberGhost with default settings (just disabled compression and DNS because I use PiHole) and never had a problem with Asus and Merlin

    Just a noob question: When setting up VPN Routing Rules should I include (VPN) or exclude (WAN) router ip or just not setting at all?

    @FreshJR I’m using a Synology NAS to record a remote RTSP streaming from one of my cams. I noticed that kind of traffic is uncategorized. I think should be at least into the downloads group.

    Hi! Since yesterday my rt86ac started query this domain once every minute. I have not done any modifications router side. I’m running pihole so I blacklisted and everything seems to work fine but what’s that? I don’t use any of the ASUS cloud services.

    Connection get blocked if vpn is not active but doesn't resume in any case.

    Difference in vpn speed between the 68 and 86 is night and day! Is there a way to resume a VPN connection when gets disconnected/unresponsive?

    yes, that's what i see. I thought this has been fixed in the latest release, should still I apply the rule shown in FreshJR thread? NOTE: If does matter i'm using PPPOE connection to the modem.

    I did installed Merlin FW 384.8_2 on my brand new RT-AC86u right away on the very first boot. I spent all night to configure all my network as it was and the OpenVPN client for CyberGhost with the Policy Rules I need but still all my devices are shown as Upload when Downloading. Missing something?

    Got this router today, coming from the ac68u. I switched because I need more power with VPN. However, I love Asus HW and Merlin FW but, damn, this things are so ugly. Why Asus doesn't design something more professional looking? Something that I can pile?

    Anyone can confirm that "DSL-AC68U_384.7_Merlin.trx" has QOS working correctly?

    Reverted back to stock asus firmware and qos was functioning. I copied the qosd.conf and qos_rul files to my pc. Then re-installed Merlin and QOS isn't working anymore. Copied the files back and now debug is ok but still blank output with "tc class show dev br0". It's a Merlin bug i think.

    I did the initialisation but nothing. When i start QOS i see it creates all the files excepts the qosd.conf
