    yeah ,,,a never-end-buffering until clients disconnect and reconnect the wifi again. As of now,,,I am kind stable with AsusWRT..no sure what's with 386.1 (or even 386.1_2). I am kinda hesitate to move on 386.1 or 386.1_2 again (I was solid, super stable at 384.18)....arghh!

    Sorry, after a while like 5-10 mins,,,the second AiMesh node is now reporting connected at 5Ghz now! kinda weird as it initiated at 2.4Ghz to join to AiMesh network first then switched to 5Ghz later (first time saw this so this thread might keep or delete if you could suggest? :) I would leave...

    Hello, I have AX86U as AiMesh main and 2 x AC86U as AiMesh nodes. One is connected at 5Ghz and another is connected (just joined a few mins ago) as 2.4Ghz. All are on AsusWRT latest firmware released (not beta). Does anyone have any insight why the second AC86U AiMesh node connected at 2.4Ghz...

    on Wifi client when they were in youtube or Facebook video the "circle" running around around waiting for the data...and eventually the Youtube said offline.

    Does the client renew its assigned by once being manual assigned an IP not within the IP pool?

    Yep,,,I gave it a try and see after 86400+ seconds to see if it happens again... In theory, the manual assigned IP is not in DHCP IP pool so I hope AiMesh doesn't send the DHCP release/renew to the router! It's best if Asus AiMesh has static IP control option on the node after the AiMesh node...

AiMesh node has tendency to renew its DHCP IP even manually assigned (within DHCP IP pool) , thus I used the manual assignment and assigned an IP (not within DHCP IP Pool) to AiMesh Node in...

I asked because I've seen AiMesh Node times to times would renew its IP thus briefly dropping mobile devices WiFi connections during that DHCP renewal process. Thus I configured the MAC->IP in manual...

    Thank you Merlin...yeah my AC68U & AC86U do have freedns.afraid.org... As I recalled I flashed my brand new AX86U 386.1 and reset and reconfigured DDNS and still could not find it...

    my SSID about 10 characters,,,the frame of router page info covering the wireless SSID info on the top thus it only shows Operation mode and Firmware version...it's only happened on the main page. (Tested Edge Chrome, Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, all are the same)...

    For RT-AX86U with latest 386.1_2 or 386.1, the main page of AX86U has a HTML frame/page issue, it covers the wireless information lines...Is there any fix for that? It only happens on AX86U but AC86U main web page looks right!

    wow,,,158F ,,,hot enough to cook egg? :)....Yes I did the same ,,,I got little fan on the back, soldered its power cable to the usb cable and plugged to one of the usb port in the back and helps to cool off the AC86U!

Suddenly out of the blue, the AiMesh main AC86U as above my head over the shelf, it started rebooting itself.. Anyone experience AC86U 386_1 rebooting itself? Any fix? or just...

    well,,,I am pretty stable at 386.1 ....all I need is the stable AiMesh main Router AC86U with node AC86U ,,no special port forwarding, nor VPN,,,been weeks stablized...not sure I should be upgrading/flashing to 386.1_2....kinda worried of destablizing my AiMesh node 386.1 :) LoL...I will wait...

    Possible problem with MESH nodes using Firmware version 386.1

    I can confirm this is similar to my scenario, and it is the workaround for me as I have two AC86U, one main and mesh node, the mesh node never got connected while on 386.1 (both). I had to install the mesh node AC86U Asusrwt firmware version (the one introduced AiMesh 2.0 , not the latest one)...

    Problem instaling firmware in RT-AC86U

    You might try this, downgrade your AC86U to this version Asusrwt Version 3.0.0.4.386.40451 (this version introduced AiMesh 2.0), reset to manufacturer default, then upgrade to 386.1. Hope it works!

    How many wifi device can RT-AC68U handle as being AiMesh node until dropping device connectivity? (those with 2.4Ghz)?

    Hello, I have AiMesh network formed by RT-AC86U main AiMesh and AC68U as AiMesh node. I just upgraded to 386.1 and notice that 5Ghz devices being dropped/disconnected once AC68U getting crowded like 10-15 devices (some 2.4 and 5Ghz in the mix). It's also causing the AC68U disconnect/reconnect...
