    I can only say I've been running 2 AX58Us (1 as router, other as access point) on Asus firmware for 6 months now with zero issues. Mix of hard wired, AC & AX clients, network printer, 2 NAS boxes, all work fine. Sam

    My wife has the Dexcom G6. She's only been using it for a few months and has already had the receiver replaced once as it wouldn't stay connected. Have read Dexcom has issues with their receivers and getting them replaced is fairly common. sam

    RT-AX88U - AX wifi issues - speeds worse than AC

    Best PCIe desktop wifi card to use with Linux Mint 19.1

    Got a Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I card which is basically a PCIe card with a M.2 slot for a mini wifi card. It comes with an Intel dual band AC mini card. Was found right away by Mint. Not as fast throughput-wise as the Asus is in Windows but it'll do for now. Sam

    Converting the HTPCs in the house to Linux Mint 19.1 from Win 10. Our 2 upstairs computers connect via wifi, both have Asus PCIe wifi cards (PCE-AC68 & PCE-AC88) but there are no Linux drivers for them. Looking for suggestions for PCIe cards with good through put and good Linux support. Sam

    Your ISP should have a list of cable modems that will work on their system. Check their web site or do a Google search for compatible modems for your ISP. Sam

    AIMESH or Two Networks?

    I have 2 AC86Us, one set as an access point, hardwired from the other AC86U set as router. I get excellent coverage over both floors of the house and out across the yard as well. Sam
