    RT-AC86U Wan/Lan Speed problem

I noticed in the switch settings that the RT-AC86U does not have NAT acceleration listed. Is that gone? Maybe that is the speed loss?

    RT-AC86U Wan/Lan Speed problem

I bought an RT-AC86U this week. I was going to setup an AIMesh network with my older RT-AC1900P. I set everything up and noticed my internet download speeds using a few different speedtest sites was slower. I am using Comcast/Xfinity Cable Internet with Gig speed. I tested my internet with...

2 routers with wired network between, aimesh or regular?

In order to have android devices automatically switch networks in my current configuration, I had to install WiFi Manager. It will automatically switch if the signal strength is too low.

2 routers with wired network between, aimesh or regular?

I have a AC-1900p and a Netgear AC 1200 router setup at my house currently. Have the AC1900p connected to the internet. The Netgear router is acting as an AP with gigabit wired connection back to the 1900p. I have 2 SSIDs, 2.4 and 5g. Same SSIDs across both router and AP. Is there...

    Cheapest AP

Ended up getting a Netgear R6220 AC1200 gigabit router at Walmart for $35 close out. They had a Linksys AC1200 Extender RE6500 for $21, and a TP-link AC900 C900 Archer for $11. Read some people were having issues with the Linksys and the TP had non-gigabit. Seems to be working pretty well...

    Cheapest AP

I guess having AC would be better. I was just thinking that the 2.4Ghz would be better through the wall of the house. I'm assuming the 2.4Ghz speed/distance on an N device vs an AC device would be about the same. Most likely it wouldn't be many devices using this. Probably 1 or 2 on the...

    Cheapest AP

I have an Asus RT-1900p. It covers my whole house pretty well. It doesn't cover my deck that well. I have wired internet in my basement that I could hook up an AP to. What is the cheapest AP or router that can be used as an AP, that is any good? I found a Tenda 301 at Microcenter for $10...

USB 3.0 drive connected to RT-AC1900p speed

BTW..I ran Acronis True image 2016 disk images from 3 different PCs to this drive yesterday. Seemed to work well. Tried 1 PC by itself and 2 PCs concurrently. Didn't have any hiccups. It took about an hour to image a 240GB SSD (184GB full) to the USB drive. Acronis compressed the image...

USB 3.0 drive connected to RT-AC1900p speed

I haven't seen a lot of posts about this specific router RT-AC1900p actually and I did search in the Asus AC router forum. I wasn't looking for general advice. I was looking specifically for feedback from other people with the same exact router. Didn't think to look in the wireless buying...

USB 3.0 drive connected to RT-AC1900p speed

Hooked up a Seagate 4TB portable USB 3.0 drive (I think 5900 rpm) to my RT-AC1900p. Mapped a drive from my laptop and ran Crystal Diskmark. Are these speeds what I should expect? I know it is slower than a NAS, but just wondering if anyone else has run any speed tests. Both laptop is...

    RT-AC68U new firmware:3.0.0.4.380.4118

The option to disable 2.4ghz b/g protection is still broken. You can uncheck it, but once you apply/save, it automagically rechecks.

    $200 Asus Router ac1900+. which one? AC3100, AC3200, AC1900

Yeah.. I tried to explain it to a few of my more technical friends. Even they didn't really even care. Ahh.. Well..

    $200 Asus Router ac1900+. which one? AC3100, AC3200, AC1900

Interesting thing is a coworker of mine has At&t fiber 1 gb both directions and an RT-AC56. QoS turned off. He has no Bufferbloat. AT&T must be doing something on their end.

    RT-AC 1900P at Best buy

I got a v3 also. Anyone know what different CPU and hardware parts are used in this vs the AC68?

    Asus Rt-ac1900p firmware

I just got one of the RT-AC1900 from bb. Mine is V3 also.

    $200 Asus Router ac1900+. which one? AC3100, AC3200, AC1900

Not auto channels. Not using both routers at the same time. Single SSID shared between both bands on a router. I didn't do any scientific testing other than a few bandwidth tests and some tests for bufferbloat, which is the main reason I'm trying different routers. That and QOS that doesn't...

    $200 Asus Router ac1900+. which one? AC3100, AC3200, AC1900

The 3200 must be better. Because its bigger!

    $200 Asus Router ac1900+. which one? AC3100, AC3200, AC1900

Ok well. I can't tell too much difference between the Rt-ac1900 and the Rt-ac3200. Physically the 3200 is bigger and has more antennas....,,,wooooooooooooo Also there is Smart connect. Speed wise they seem about the same. The 1900 may have slightly better range. Hmmm.....

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

I have an RT-AC1900P that I just picked up. B/G protection can't be unchecked on that either. I think it uses the same firmware as the AC68u. On an AC66 and an AC3200 the box is checked by default, but can be unchecked.
