    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

ok... Since some of the posts mentioned Reseting to factory defaults, decided to try that. Reseting to defaults with .49_5, IPv6 now works. Load Cfg file then causes it to break. Reseting to defaults and manually entering values using screenshots and ipv6 is working. So maybe something...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Anything new with ipv6 on .49? Tried _5. Didn't think it would change anything and it didn't. Still not obtaining an ipv6 address on Comcast. .48 works.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Tried again going to .49_2. Turned off Cable Modem and Router for 15 mins. Turned back on. Tried some suggestions on the forum. Nothing works for .49_2. When I go back to .48_3, I get an IPv6 address right away.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Was on .47. Upgraded to .49_2. Router isn't getting assigned an IPV6 address. Tried turning on and off NAT acceleration. Turning on and off IPV6. No luck. Went back to .48_3 and now it is working. I have Comcast ISP. Also tried turning on and off my Cable modem. Also this is an RT-AC66

    HW acceleration/IPv6 issues

update...Read some more things on the forum. Seems like some people have tested the routers with HW Acceleration off and it seems to work fine up to around 200Mbs. So I think I'll turn off HW acceleration and turn IPv6 back on. My speed seems to be around the same with it on or off.

    HW acceleration/IPv6 issues

Yeah..I noticed that disabling HW acceleration improved my Asus router stability with IPV6 enabled (comcast). I have a pretty fast internet connection though, so I think I'm going to turn off IPv6 for now.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

So far seems good with hw acceleration disabled. Although I have a pretty fast wan connection, 120Mbps. Not sure if ipv6 does anything for me. Any reason that Ipv6 is more important than hw acceleration.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

Ok. Trying with hw acceleration disabled.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

Rebooted on its own last night. Definitely ipv6 causing it for me.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

Ok...It's been working since changing to IPv4 for 2 weeks. Trying IPV6 again right now. Let's see.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

4 days without a reboot now, with IPV6 turned off. I guess that must have been it.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

So far a little over a day with no reboot after just disabling IPV6.

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

Happened again last night. Going to try and disable ipv6 and see if that fixes it. Otherwise... Other option.. Go back to a previous FW or restore default firmware settings... Any ideas what to try first?

    RT-AC66 reboot on it's own

Just had my RT-AC66 Router Reboot on it's own. Any way to find out why it rebooted? The only thing I've done recently is updating my firmware to Merlin's newest version 376.45 2 days ago. Also I enabled IPV6 since Comcast is now saying they have it completely rolled out. I haven't...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.41 is out

Weird.. When I was on the Merlin firmware.. I rebooted a few times.. No Ipv6. Went back to stock... IPV6=good. Went back to Merlin. Now Ipv6 is working.. Strange stuff. Rebooted just to check and IPV6 is good.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.41 is out

I noticed with Stock firmware... IPv6 is working for me. With Merlin .41 IPV6 isn't working. I don't even get assigned an address. I'm on Comcast. Is this normal? I saw something about reducing IPv6 flooding with comcast, but I wouldn't expect it to just not work.

RT-N66U and Asus Dynamic DNS ([myHost].asuscomm.com)

Just got an rt-ac66. I was hoping it supported afraid.org. No luck. dyndns isn't free. No-IP makes you verify via email every 30 days. Is Asus ddns any good? Merlin.... any chance of adding afraid into your firmware?

Wireless router that can filter MAC access by time-of-day

I have a Linksys EA3500. From what I understand most Linksys routers (without 3rd party firmware) block by time of day using host name/IP address and not MAC. This is a problem. I really want to find one myself that works with MAC.

    Disable WMM??

There is no way to tell link speed on an ipad. Also, my router, Linksys EA3500 does not show link speed in its status for clients.

    Disable WMM??

Interesting... tested with my laptop and my throughput with WMM off is only 15-16Mbs. With it enabled, I am getting 50-60Mbs. So I guess for me, even though it is a little slower on the ipad, it isn't worth it for my laptop.
