    Netgear XAVB5501

I just ordered the Trendnet version from Newegg. It's available on a few sites, including trendnet's web-site. We'll have to see how it works...

Fastest stable 802.11n bridge setup HT?

I just read on another site that the AV 500 stuff is supposed to release Oct. 1. I hope that's true. I called Netgear and the CSR didn't know anything. I emailed them and haven't heard anything either.

Fastest stable 802.11n bridge setup HT?

Yeah.. I'm really hopeful the AV 500 will ship soon. Even if it only got 100MB/S it would be worth it for me.

Fastest stable 802.11n bridge setup HT?

Anyone try the Netgear WnCE 2001? Hmmm.. Went to the netgear site and they are promoting the Powerline AV 500. Maybe I should wait for that? Sheesh...

Fastest stable 802.11n bridge setup HT?

I'm currently using a Trendnet TEW-633GR in my home office connected to cable Internet. This unit does 2.4ghz 802.11n. It is similar to a dlink 655. I have a home theatre setup downstairs in my den about 25 feet away. I have an HTPC and PS3 in my den. I was using an SMC webN device as...

Speed Wireless-N Bridges Linksys WET610N vs Trendnet vs SMC, why so different?

I returned the Trendnet device. I could never get it to consistantly stay connected at a higher speed. I think it was ratching down to single band rather than wide band. I'm going to stick with the Linksys for a little while. It was slightly faster, remained faster and was more...

Speed Wireless-N Bridges Linksys WET610N vs Trendnet vs SMC, why so different?

Ok.. so the Linksys is slightly higher than the SMC device. It averages about 5Mbits faster. The SMC device has peaks of higher speed.. but the speed bounces around a little more than the Linksys device. The trendnet device doesn't go nearly as fast. I also had times when it wouldn't...

Speed Wireless-N Bridges Linksys WET610N vs Trendnet vs SMC, why so different?

Ok.. I did some more testing. I moved the wireless AP/Bridge devices out of my HT cabinet. It seems like maybe the SMC device was more susceptible to interference in there. I also turned switched everything to Wireless-N only, WPA2-AES. I was also looking at the reported speeds in my...

Can't print through WET610N connected to my laptop's Ethernet port

Yeah.. I'm running into the same issue. Can't print from a PC hooked up to the WET610N over my network to a hardwired HP Color Laserjet 2605dn. I thought it was the laserjet at first. Also.. I was getting intermittent errors printing out from the laser. It ends up that there were items...

Speed Wireless-N Bridges Linksys WET610N vs Trendnet vs SMC, why so different?

I'm kind of new here, but it seems like there is a lot of Wireless-N knowledge on this site, so I'm hoping someone can help. I have a Trendnet TEW-633GR Wireless-N Router (1 year old, newest firmware). It is single band 2.4ghz. I have it using Auto (20/40hz) mode. The other option is 20hz...
