    DFS implementation for RT-AC66U

RT-AC66U, Merlin .45 firmware Browsing the wireless driver commands I found DFS related commands which are obviously functional (e.g. dfs_status, dfs_channel_forced). It seems the wireless driver is DFS ready. So why DFS is not yet supported by this router ? Would it be possible to use...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 is out

RT-AC66U; Network map, .44 Merlin firmware Wired clients behind a wireless media bridge (TP-LINK TP-WA890EA) are not displayed any more. Only the number of the clients is shown. Clicking on that field yields the message "no data in table" BTW is it possible to import customized icons for...

@merlin Those limitations of the Broadcom SOC you mentioned above; can this be the reason for the lack of DFS support for the RT-AC66U ?

PCE-AC66 wifi card not picking up 5ghz 149-161 channels

The findings of psychopomp1 are bad news for the european users. Since in europe the 5 GHz channels beyond 48 are only allowed with DFS/TPC, Asus locked (maybe by means of firmware ?) the upper channels on the Wifi cards instead of implementing DFS/TPC. A statement of an Asus official...

PCE-AC66 wifi card not picking up 5ghz 149-161 channels

Very interesting to note. The driver must check the region. But how to make the driver believe staying in another region ? Merry Christmas to all.

PCE-AC66 wifi card not picking up 5ghz 149-161 channels

According to the recent issue of the german computer magazine c´t (they tested a PCE AC66) this limitation is due to the driver. ASUS is said to promise a driver update in spring 2014. Seems you can do nothing.

Check this (5 GHz section): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels Sadly enough DFS/TPC is not implemented yet.

    Wireless bug in 3.0.0.4.374.34 ? [2.4Ghz]

Had exactly the same problem, too and already reported it. But what happened to the driver from .33 beta 1 to .33 beta 3 ?

    Can't change 2.4ghz channel

This problem is already known. Merlin said it is due to the driver. But I do not know wether the the driver version has been changed.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.33 Beta 5 available

PrivateJoker agree with your consideration, but it seems to work in .32 Merlin thank you for your work, i guessed already it was caused by the driver

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.33 Beta 5 available

Hi, i can confirm this new behaviour in .33 final. (after upgrading from .32 final i reset to factory defaults and cleared nvram) RT-AC66U, Location Austria (Europe) 2,4 GHz settings :bandwidth 20/40 MHz, channel 13u yields actually channel 6 (but not visible in the settings window...

    How do I remove entware?

Hi, i have the same problem. Not very familiar to Linux, playing around with Entware on a RT-AC66U. With "entware-setup.sh" Installation was easy. A similar command for removing, at least to clean up all modifications done to the router, would be helpful. Thanks
