amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Is there a more in depth explanation somewhere, as to why DNScrypt and Stubby have been depricated in AMTM? Thanks

WAN_Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.

3 weeks without issue and I had one lockup 3 days ago, but none since. I wiped it clean, then went back to stock firmware and ran that for about a week before going back to Merlin. I haven’t setup optware yet either, I left that off and VPN. If after VPN test it still works I will load optware...

WAN_Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.

Do you have VPN enabled? I followed L&LD’s post and l haven’t had a problem so far. I’m going to enable a VPN in a couple of days and i’ll See if that’s the issue. So far there is no root cause only speculation unfortunately

WAN DHCP Connection Issues 384.10* Firmware

I will try that. I'm still back on stock FW, but I'm going to try again following L&LD's post with just a basic setting and then add all my static IP's, port forwarding and VPN one at a time, letting it run a couple of days in between.

WAN_Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.

Thanks I will try the rebooting steps. I did everything else except reformatting the Jffs partition (I assumed factory reset and stock firmware load in rescue mode would wipe that)

WAN_Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.

OK, here is what happens on mine: My ISP is Cogeco.ca and I have a Cisco DPC3848VM modem which I setup in Bridge mode. I use my Asus RT-AC3200 which has been working fine for the last couple of years. Recently however it started dropping connections, occasionally in build 384.8, more so in...

WAN DHCP Connection Issues 384.10* Firmware

I am also have similar issues to what I have seen in some of the posts and have actually had to go back to stock firmware to fix it. My ISP is Cogeco.ca and I have a Cisco DPC3848VM modem which I setup in Bridge mode. I use my Asus RT-AC3200 which has been working fine for the last couple of...

Help - USB Health Scanner - Scan Results Blank

I use it for entware and also for backing up my syslog and other log files, my jffs backup etc. I have 3 partitions ext3 for entware , swap, fat32 for data (so I can directly mount in windows or OSx if I need to) I usually use rescan under Health Scanner. The other option would be to ssh into...

Help - USB Health Scanner - Scan Results Blank

I have an ASUS RT-AC3200 running FW 384.6. I have a SanDisk Cruzer 8Gb USB on the USB 2.0 port, which is all working fine. Sometimes the router will lock-up and I have to perform a hard reboot. When this happens, my USB doesnt always mount, so I have to unplug and re-attach. When I run the...

[SOLVED] Change default shell from sh to bash (378.56_2)

That worked! Thanks for the help BTW, I found that adding the .bashrc command below cp /tmp/mnt/data/.bashrc /tmp/home/root/.bashrcto jffs/scripts/services-start didn't always work, but adding it to /jffs/scripts/post-mount always works

[SOLVED] Change default shell from sh to bash (378.56_2)

Thanks Merlin, I tried that, don’t get the error anymore but still doesn’t read .bashrc without putting source in front. I was reading that sometimes bash does not read the file, so I was thinking I should put that in a startup script, but not sure which one I copy the .bashrc from my USB once...
