FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Jack, sorry this isn't entirely relevant to this thread, but given you have the same ISP as me, do you have any recommendations to combat the awful latency issues with the Hub3 and Docsis 3.0? Do you use FlexQoS or CAKE? After extensive testing, using both Ax86u and Ax88u with the various...

[Cake test] Cake experiments for 386.2 Beta

I'm confused by this confusion.. thought it was beta 1 this applied to?

[Cake test] Cake experiments for 386.2 Beta

Had a go at this and the verdict is there is a notable improvement. Download buffer bloat seems to have improved and also download speed is now getting approx 40-60mbps more than on standard. I'm on ASUS AX86U, 500/35 with ISP modem router in bridge mode. Tests carried out using AX client over...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

Apologies if this has already been covered; getting these intermittent log messages. No idea what it relates to. Also had an issue where A.QoS (FlexQoS) and CAKE were both running at the same time. 4 rateset:00175f4c Mar 18 23:12:28 kernel: CONSOLE: 088090.962 ppr_get_vht_mcs: Failed...

Didn’t look like it had. I thought I’d stumbled on some kind of Flex Cake..

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

@dave14305 Tried CAKE earlier and switched it off due to getting a strict NAT type from it. Put FlexQoS back on and I've resulted in this when I do the tc qdisc command. Does the router need rebooting once reverting back from CAKE to A.QoS? qdisc cake 801b: dev eth0 root refcnt 2 bandwidth...

modmon modmon - WebUI for monitoring Virgin Hub 3 cable modem stats

The Unbound GUI for a while now, for some reason, I've always had to manually install the GUI from AMTM after a reboot. However, I've rebooted it again without the GUI being installed (but unbound manager installed/ running in the background?) and I'll send the syslog over to you.

modmon modmon - WebUI for monitoring Virgin Hub 3 cable modem stats

@Jack Yaz I've got a repeated issue with Modmon not mounting now. It's been every time on the last 4 reboots, including just now where I've updated firmware to 386.2 alpha 2.

    CakeQOS CakeQOS-Merlin v1.0.8

Might just be the call of duty servers. I've had similar issues to those that you mention whilst playing on Warzone over the last couple of nights. May be an issue server side. Just out of curiosity, how come you're using CAKE on gigabit broadband? cake is 'not recommended' for above 350mbps...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Not sure tbh. Definitely didn’t notice any negative aspects of doing it like this. I did switch it back to gaming last night though and found it felt slightly less responsive again. I play on warzone a lot though and I know the netcode is a bigger issue than my router setup. I’ve tried all sorts...

    DCHP renew warning

I've had engineers visit though who said the odd one isn't an issue, frequent ones indicated a problem though. My understanding of the T3 timeouts is that they are a partial loss of service. Is this not the case?

    DCHP renew warning

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help with this or point me in the right direction; I have a Virgin media hub 3 and it's set up in modem mode. I keep getting T3 timeouts and having looked through the logs on Modmon (from the modem logs), the T3 timeout always seems to be off the back of a DCHP...

2.5G Gaming Port Issue | Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000

Is your xbox still using the IP address of your modem? have you tried a hard reboot of the xbox to see if this resolves? Have you tried any other devices plugged in to that port to see if an internet connection is working?

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I'd noticed a lot of web traffic from my Xbox as well, despite having rules already for all TCP traffic from my xbox to go to gaming and all UDP traffic from my xbox to net control. I've set a rule with the mark that Dave mentioned and assigned it to the static IP for my xbox, so the rule only...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

@el pescador you've given me an idea to try out in regards to time sensitive UDP packets for gaming.. I've separated my UDP traffic from TCP traffic, assigning a rule for UDP under net control and another rule for TCP under gaming. It may turn out to be snake oil, but worth a try in the name...

Problems with gaming whilst another user is downloading a large file

Gaming actually uses little bandwidth in comparison to file downloads and is more dependent on latency on the local and wider network. Have you tried using FlexQoS to see if this improves your situation? You can adjust the file downloads to the lowest priority which should ensure gaming packets...

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

I stated previoiusly it may be a co-incidence and am a maths and science person. I don't go off whims, but look for proof to underline things I find. One thing is for certain, I've gone from +/- 1.5ms to less than +/- 0.1ms... I've found better performance outside of things that have been...
