    RT-AX92U WAN Issue

    I had installed a small external fan since 2 years ago and it did the work perfectly. I used to see one cpu core shut down because of overheating before I install the fan. This usually happens when you enabling more features, such as QOS, traffic analysis etc.

    I always suspect that the issue is also related to the WAN signal provided by the ISP devices. Maybe somehow the problematic signal not is no longer being triggered.     I am having exact same issue using RT-AX92U. Guest network with Intranet access disable, and having it sync to AIMesh Node. If device connect Guest Network thru Node it will not be able to fetch IP address.

    I guess the disconnect issue may due to the ISP modem using some protocol that trigger the issue, but I am not an expert. I have tried to restart the modem from ISP but turn out cannot solve the issue.

    Turn out I am the only one getting the WAN disconnect issue. Anyway rollback to Version 3.0.0.4.386.41712 and everything is fine now.

    try using the asus router phone app instead of the gui. Somehow I found it is much easier than the web ui to success.

    there is no word that if a new fix will be provided in days or a month... so I better perform a downgrade first. Hope I don't need to re pair my noded ad this is absolutely a nightmare. (I need to keep retry as the process usually fail until I tried 5 or more times.)

    I spoke too soon. Even after disable the features that will impact speeds, after running for about 12 hours my router suddenly slow a lot and VPN connection keep dropping. Eventually I would have to restart the router manually to resolve the issue. The new firmware is definitely very unstable.
