EXT4 disk formatting options on the router

I started with EXT4 on my SSD, no journal, using the same command shown above last year. Then I decided to switch to EXT2 and (at least in my setup) EXT2 seems to perform better. My guess would be less overhead?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.7 is now available

That's exactly what I say I did in the last line of my original post: "Since I'm not worried about forcing clients to Quad9 I just added their IP addresses in the WAN DNS Setting section, disabled DNS Filtering and all is good."

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.7 is now available

With the new release I decided to give DNS filtering a try, and liked Quad9. After enabling it in the relevant tab things seemed to work great and I noticed it was inserted in the DNSFILTER chain in the NAT table, referenced by an entry in the PREROUTING chain. However, as I found later, I...

    AC86U - 2.4Ghz Band Dropping Connection

If you're using a USB disk/stick/something check if you have USB 3 active. That kills my 2.4 real good, set it to USB 2

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.6 is now available

Since upgrading from 384.5 to .6 (no reset/clearing nvram) my LG TV (70UH6350) loses its WiFi connection to my 5G network on a RT-AC68U. Haven't tried troubleshooting yet, just plugged in a wire for now so I could continue watching TV. Both 2.4 & 5 networks are still available at that moment...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

Your laptop is requesting an address using it's full domain name, FLL1D45424.internal.hatma.dom. DHCP is ignoring the domain part and only using the host name to register an IP address to. It's an informational message and there's nothing to worry about.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

On my 68 I see a bunch of "*.dict" files in /www, which appear to be regular text files, one translation per line.

    All Devices Showing as Static

If the lease for the DHCP address on the device is not up it may not have requested a new one yet, and keep using the current address. Your router will show this as static since it doesn't have a record of giving out that address. Once the device renews its address your router should show DHCP...

    Thanks, I appreciate your response!

    384.4: layer7 / libipt_layer7.so

Okay, good to know, thank you. Any chance of including OpenDPI /nDPI in Merlin? I'd love to do some filtering :)

    384.4: layer7 / libipt_layer7.so

Support for this library seems broken. The default protocol directory is /etc_ro/l7-protocols according to the lib, but a search of the file system indicates that, at least on Merlin, it is /rom/etc/l7-protocols or /tmp/etc/l7-protocols Both folders are empty It would be great if: The library...
