    Never heard of having to factory reset Router hardware prior to firmware updates. Should be able to update on the fly as seeing when the firmware is updating, the router never disconnects. I usually do hard reboot after updating firmware by unplugging or pushing the power button on the routers...

    Well, seems like turning the nodes off and then rebooting the main router, waiting a few minutes and then turning the nodes back on seems to have fixed the issue with the clients disconnecting. I'll keep and eye out though and post back if the problem returns

    EDIT- I just figured it out.... I went into the router wireless setting under the professional tab. Both 2.4 and 5 GHZ radios were disabled. I did not do this. I enabled and all is working again.
